About ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology
Enabler of smaller, more powerful and energy‑efficient microchips
Work where tomorrow ismade.
Around 80% of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. As the heart of every electronically controlled system, they are indispensable in our daily lives – whether in smartphones, smarthomesor smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With ultra‑precise lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, more powerful and more energy‑efficient microchips – shaping the age of micro‑and nanoelectronics with its innovations.
Your Role
To manufacture high‑performance semiconductor chips using microlithography, we develop the world’s most advanced projection and illumination systems. In ourdepartmentwedevelopthe mechatronicsolutions that play a key role in these systems.
In your role as Senior Development Engineer Mechatronics with Focus on Dynamics and Control Engineering (f/m/x), you will:
Develop, evaluateand document mechatronic system concepts for projection and illumination optics in microlithography systems, with a focus on dynamics and control engineering
Perform modeling, simulation and analysis ofhighly complexmechatronic systems and develop and evaluate control algorithms for fast and extremely precise positioning of precision mechanical components
Deriveand negotiatespecifications and budgets for components from your results
Ensure the realization and testing of prototypes and evaluate the test results
Be part of an interdisciplinary team and work closely in development with customers (internal and external) as well as development partners
YourProfile
Many years of professional experience in the development of complex mechatronic systems, ideally in the semiconductor industry
Strongexpertisein analysis of control loops (frequency and time domain) and dynamic analysis of mechanical systems (MBS, FEM, structural dynamics, modeling methods), experience in validation of dynamic models andvery goodMATLABand/orPython skills
Ideally, knowledge in related disciplines such as actuators/sensors, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, optical engineering as well as systems engineering
Strong technical leadership skills with a proventrack recordin decision‑making, delegation, stakeholder management, steeringteamsand developing team members
An independent and systematic way of working, very goodorganizational and communicationskillsand strongproactivity and assertiveness
Enjoyment of working as part of an interdisciplinary team in a highly dynamic environment, combined witha high levelof commitment and performance orientation
Excellent university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, TechnicalCyberneticsor a comparable field of study
Very goodEnglish skills, both written and spoken; good German skills are an advantage
