Job Description
About the role
As the Strategy & Operations Lead - Marketplace for Uber Eats Taiwan, you will help shape the strategy and priorities for a healthy, reliable and competitive three-sided marketplace across consumers, merchants and delivery partners. You will combine hands-on analytical problem solving with strategic judgment to uncover the biggest market-specific challenges and opportunities, turn insights into recommendations, and work across local teams and APAC Central Operations to drive measurable outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of marketplace strategy, analytics, regulatory coordination and innovation. You will help translate Taiwan-specific needs, including the Online Delivery Act (ODA), into clear business priorities and cross-functional plans. We are looking for someone who can independently dive into the data, challenge assumptions, build compelling business cases, and move from diagnosis to experimentation and execution without needing to own every underlying pricing or matching lever.
What you’ll do:
- Support Taiwan Marketplace strategy and business planning by bringing together cross-functional insights, identifying strategic opportunities and translating priorities into actionable plans.
- Drive marketplace-level analytics to uncover emerging trends, size business opportunities, test hypotheses and turn data into clear recommendations for decision-making.
- Serve as a key Marketplace point of contact for ODA and regulatory coordination, partnering with Legal, Policy, Central and local teams to assess business implications and support implementation.
- Incubate Taiwan-specific innovations and experiments: develop business cases, design focused pilots, define success metrics and evaluate what could be scaled.
- Build strategic reviews and decision materials for leadership, using structured analysis and sound business judgment to communicate priorities, trade-offs and recommendations.
- Coordinate cross-functional strategic initiatives, align stakeholders on objectives and responsibilities, and follow through on progress and measurable outcomes.
What you’ll need
- 6+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, analytics, consulting, product operations or a similar role in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with data and translate findings into business recommendations; SQL experience is preferred.
- Strong strategic judgment and business acumen, including the ability to size opportunities, evaluate trade-offs and prioritize what matters most.
- Experience driving ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition and stakeholder alignment through execution and impact measurement.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to senior leaders and influencing regional and local teams without direct authority.
- A proactive, "go-get-it" attitude with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity to challenge the status quo, and the drive to turn ideas into action and deliver results.
Experience in marketplace businesses, platform operations or regulatory environments is a plus.
