Position Summary

The Executive Director, Strategic Accounts will lead Travere’s U.S. Strategic Account Management (SAM) organization, advancing national account strategy and institutional partnerships across academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), large nephrology practices, and other priority healthcare organizations. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this leader oversees the national SAM team and aligns cross-functional resources to strengthen institutional engagement, support appropriate commercial growth, and advance care for patients living with rare diseases.

Build scalable account management capabilities that address current commercial priorities and support future assets, indications, and launches. The position may be filled at the Senior Director or Executive Director level based on experience, strategic leadership, and demonstrated organizational impact.

Responsibilities

  • National strategy and execution. Develop and execute the national strategic account strategy aligned with commercial and portfolio priorities. Prioritize and segment accounts; establish disciplined account planning, executive engagement, resource allocation, and measures of institutional progress.
  • Institutional partnerships. Guide account strategies that reflect institutional priorities, stakeholder relationships, and patient care pathways. Cultivate senior executive and clinical relationships; identify opportunities to improve diagnosis, referrals, care coordination, and access to appropriate care.
  • Cross functional leadership. Integrate SAM within the broader field ecosystem, partnering with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Thought Leader Liaisons, and Rare Kidney Disease Educators. Clarify roles, communication, and shared priorities while respecting functional independence and promoting a coordinated One Team customer experience.
  • Insights and business impact. Use account and regional analytics, customer insights, competitive trends, and healthcare delivery changes to improve execution and inform business strategy. Translate institutional insights into actionable recommendations for commercial leadership.
  • Team leadership. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national SAM team. Set clear expectations and accountability for execution, institutional progress, and business impact. Build capabilities in executive engagement, healthcare system navigation, complex account management, and strategic problem-solving.
  • Portfolio and enterprise leadership. Evolve the SAM model to support additional assets, indications, and launches. Evaluate future institutional engagement needs and leverage account relationships and knowledge across the portfolio, consistent with compliance requirements. Serve on the U.S. Sales leadership team and contribute an enterprise perspective to business decisions.
  • Operational effectiveness. Manage complex plans, timelines, budgets, and organizational resources. Adapt strategies and tactics as priorities change, and foster collaboration, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
