Key Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Chief of Staff Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Public Equities leadership, helping advance the organization’s highest-priority strategic, investment, commercial, and organizational initiatives.
  • Drive coordination and execution across the Equities organization, working across investment teams and with key partner organizations including Distribution, Product, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and other enterprise functions.
  • Engage with senior leadership across the firm to coordinate priorities, surface issues, accelerate decision-making, and ensure effective execution of key Equity platform initiatives.
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects that span multiple investment teams or business functions, bringing structure, accountability, and momentum to initiatives that do not sit neatly within a single team.
  • Act as a connector across the Equity platform, identifying opportunities to improve collaboration, share best practices, and strengthen connectivity across investment teams and adjacent functions.
  • Coordinate selected external strategic relationships and initiatives where they intersect with broader Equity platform priorities.

Equity Platform Development & Strategic Initiatives

  • Partner with Equity leadership to identify and advance opportunities to strengthen the platform across investment capabilities, operating practices, commercial effectiveness, and organizational connectivity.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear workstreams, milestones, ownership, and follow-through, helping ensure that important initiatives move from discussion to execution.
  • Support senior leadership meetings, strategic planning, and platform-level communications by synthesizing information across teams, identifying key issues and decisions, and coordinating necessary follow-up.
  • Develop scalable processes, tools, and operating disciplines that improve transparency, information sharing, and execution across Public Equities.
  • Take on emerging priorities and special projects on behalf of Equity leadership as the needs of the organization evolve.

Broker Relationship Leadership

  • Own and deepen strategic sell-side broker relationships on behalf of Public Equities, serving as a senior relationship lead for important equity research and access counterparties.
  • Evaluate the quality and value of broker-provided research and corporate access against the needs of Public Equity investment teams, using both qualitative and quantitative measures.
  • Partner with investment teams, Trading, Compliance, and other stakeholders to prioritize brokerage resources, including commissions, votes, and eligible research and access services.
  • Lead periodic broker review and voting processes, ensuring resources remain aligned with the highest-value research and investment priorities of the platform.

Corporate Access Strategy for Public Equities

  • Define and lead the corporate access strategy for the Public Equities platform, ensuring it is closely aligned with the research priorities, sector coverage, and investment processes of portfolio managers and analysts.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for the quality, breadth, and efficiency of corporate access supporting public equity strategies.
  • Develop differentiated engagement opportunities, including one-on-one meetings, site visits, small-group sessions, and other direct interactions that complement traditional sell-side channels.
  • Represent the Public Equities platform externally as a senior, trusted, and professional point of contact.
  • Leverage external relationships to enhance both investment insight and the broader connectivity and visibility of the Equity platform.
