Mission
TAR’s mission is to power intelligence for the world. We are building the world’s first off-grid power plant for data centers powered by renewable technologies.
We firmly believe AI should be built in the US for the benefit of all people. For that, power must be fast, clean and scalable. We are singularly focused on delivering GW-scale power faster than anyone has ever done, by rethinking every layer of the stack.
We vertically integrate to solve every bottleneck, from racking systems to power electronics to dispatch algorithms to on-site construction.
Leave your mark on the future of civilization-scale energy infrastructure.
Company
TAR is both a hardware and software company, we are building out massive, critical, physical infrastructure. TAR is working directly with one of the largest compute providers to scale and deploy 5GWs by 2028.
We operate on…
High ownership. High Agency. Own project end-to-end. Great people don’t need to be managed.
Speed. We achieve great things on incredible timelines. We push ourselves to go faster.
First principles. No ego. No hierarchy. Challenge every assumption.
Passion. Solving the energy problem is one of the largest challenges that faces the world now and in the future.
About the role
Our test site in West Texas is where TAR’s robots, racking, and crew come together every day. For the team to stay focused on the build, everything else has to just work. The kitchen is stocked, the spaces are clean, the supplies are on hand, and visitors know where to go. That’s you.
As Facility Manager, you run the day-to-day of the site: supplies and stock, the kitchen, cleaning and service vendors, and the buildings and spaces the team works in. You’re the go-to person on site for anything that isn't a robot. Our inventory team handles production parts and materials, and you keep everything else running. You’ll work closely with our Manufacturing Lead and field teams, and you’ll help the site grow as more people arrive.
Responsibilities
Keep the site running day to day. Open and close the office, manage site access, and make sure every space is clean, safe, and ready to work.
Keep the office, kitchen, and site stocked with everyday supplies, from drinking water and snacks to cleaning and break-room supplies, and reorder before anything runs out.
Hire, schedule, and manage cleaning staff and other services, such as waste removal, pest control, water delivery, portable restrooms, and internet. Hold them to quality and schedule.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance for buildings, trailers, HVAC, and utilities with outside contractors.
Plan how space is used, including desks, meeting areas, storage, and parking, and set up new spaces as the team grows.
Welcome visitors, contractors, and new hires. Handle sign-in, line up safety briefings, and make sure new people have a workspace and gear on day one.
Handle mail and office, kitchen, and facilities deliveries, and route parts and materials tot he inventory team.
Arrange travel and lodging for engineers visiting from San Francisco and Austin.
Keep first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency supplies stocked and inspected.
Track spending against budget and process purchases and invoices.
Qualifications
3+ years in office management, facilities coordination, or site operations, ideally at a field site, construction project, or industrial facility.
Experience managing vendors and service contracts.
Strong organization. You track inventory, budgets, and schedules without anything slipping.
