OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE

We are seeking a motivated Analyst II to join Takeda's GCC Commercial Insights & Analytics (I&A) organization in India. This role builds on a solid analytics foundation, giving you the chance to independently deliver complex analyses and grow into broader analytical ownership. The Analyst II is a dependable analytical contributor who produces accurate, timely insights for US brand teams, works closely with Senior Analysts and Managers, and steadily builds deep expertise in US pharmaceutical commercial data.

  • Independently deliver complex analytical workstreams and recurring deliverables that inform US brand performance tracking, commercial execution, and brand strategy across assigned brands and indications.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of US pharmaceutical commercial data sources — including patient-level claims, EMR, specialty pharmacy, and sales data — and analytics tools to generate accurate, well-structured insights.
  • Execute patient journey analyses, HCP segmentation, performance deep dives, and competitive assessments under the guidance of Senior Analysts and Managers, contributing evidence-based findings to US I&A brand leads.
  • Grow as a trusted analytical contributor within the GCC team — adopting analytical best practices, building domain expertise, and supporting Analyst I colleagues through peer knowledge-sharing.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Brand Analytics and Insight Generation

  • Deliver assigned performance analytics workstreams, producing reports and dashboards that track brand KPIs — including patient shares, new starts, source of business, adherence, and HCP engagement — at national and subnational levels.
  • Integrate and analyze US commercial data sources — including real-world data (claims, EMR), specialty pharmacy data, sales data, and channel data — to generate patient and HCP insights that support brand strategy and launch readiness.
  • Apply and maintain established business rules for processing raw patient-level data, building a strong understanding of data nuances and commercial context to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Independently handle custom reporting and ad hoc analysis requests of moderate complexity, with structured approaches, sound methodology, and clearly documented outputs; escalate complex methodological questions to Senior Analysts or Managers.

Data Visualization and Reporting Excellence

  • Build, update, and maintain Tableau or Power BI dashboards and reporting tools that clearly communicate brand performance trends, patient funnel dynamics, and field force activity to US stakeholders.
  • Track and report KPIs and metrics — including patient shares, duration of therapy (DoT), adherence rates, source of business, and campaign effectiveness — across national and subnational geographies and payer channel types.
  • Perform rigorous data quality checks and validations on recurring deliverables, and identify opportunities to automate reporting workflows using SQL, Python, or Databricks.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication

  • Work with Senior Analysts, GCC Managers, and US I&A brand leads to understand analytical requirements, confirm deliverable scope, and communicate progress and issues proactively.
  • Summarize findings into clear, structured analytical narratives with explicit "so what" takeaways tailored to US brand and commercial audiences.
  • Support Analyst I colleagues through peer knowledge-sharing on data sources, tools, and quality checks.
  • Contribute to team knowledge management by documenting analytical methods, data source guides, and reusable queries.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Statistics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Master's degree or MBA in a relevant analytical or business field is preferred.

Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience in US pharmaceutical commercial analytics or healthcare analytics, with demonstrated ability to deliver analytical work independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of US pharma commercial datasets: patient-level claims (IQVIA, Komodo Health, Symphony Health), specialty pharmacy (867), EMR, and sales data is required.
  • Proficiency in coding techniques such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python for data manipulation and workflow automation; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI for performance and brand analytics dashboard development.
  • Exposure to Databricks or cloud-based analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Experience supporting US brand teams or cross-functional analytics programs is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • US Commercial Data Analysis — Independently execute complex analyses using multi-source US pharma commercial datasets; interprets results with growing domain context.
  • Data Storytelling — Turns analytical findings into clear, structured narratives with explicit business takeaways.
  • Technical Proficiency — Strong SQL; working Python/R; Tableau/Power BI; developing familiarity with Databricks or cloud platforms.
  • Stakeholder Communication — Communicates findings clearly to Senior Analysts, Managers, and US I&A leads; asks the right clarifying questions up front.
  • Attention to Detail and Quality — Applies rigorous checks and validation to ensure accurate, reliable deliverables.
  • Automation and Efficiency — Spots and implements opportunities to streamline recurring work using code or process improvements.
  • Problem-Solving — Breaks down business questions into structured analytical steps; navigates data limitations and seeks guidance when needed.
