SE Ranking is a profitable, growing B2B SaaS business – around 200 people, remote-first and globally distributed. Our websites are one of our largest acquisition assets and the first product experience most customers ever have — and there are a lot of them: several sites across our product suite, in multiple language versions. We're hiring a Website Lead to own all of it: the team, the web properties, and everything that ships.

This is a hands-on, build-oriented role. You'll lead our in-house web team, set the roadmap and the priorities, and be accountable for two things above all: how fast changes go live, and how well the sites run once they're there. You'll also build AI into how the whole team works, so that every process gets faster.

You'll work closely with marketing, content, design, SEO, and our country teams. If you're energised by owning a business-critical asset with a real team behind it and the authority to change how it works, in a fast-moving, low-ego, global team, this is your role.

What you'll do

  • Own our web properties end to end. Set the website roadmap, define success measures, and track results against business goals. Work with technical leads to keep our sites reliable, accessible, fast, and maintainable, including their CMS setup and integrations.
  • Manage multiple websites and language versions. Coordinate improvements across our product websites and local versions together with regional teams and local managers. Use shared templates, components, and localisation workflows where they add value, while respecting each brand’s needs and technical setup.
  • Lead the web team. Manage and develop the in-house web team, run sprint planning and weekly reviews, and plan capacity. You set the outcome and the constraints, then trust experienced specialists to choose how they build it. You give feedback as you go, and you have a clear view of how each person on the team grows.
  • Set the priorities and make the call. Turn competing requests into one clear, prioritised plan based on business impact, effort, dependencies, and team capacity. Make trade-offs clear to stakeholders, including what moves or waits when priorities change.
  • Give the team the context. People know what the business is trying to achieve, why a priority changed, and what leadership expects, not just what is next in the sprint.
  • Manage external partners. Set clear scopes, deliverables, and quality expectations for contractors and agencies. Manage delivery within agreed budgets and timelines, and raise resource gaps early.
  • Ship fast and reliably. Work with development and QA to build a clear release process, with appropriate testing, monitoring, and rollback plans. Keep stakeholders informed about what is shipping, when, and any risks to delivery.
  • Improve workflows with AI and automation. Identify repetitive work, build and test practical workflows, and help the team adopt them. Measure whether they save time or improve quality, with human review where needed.
  • Drive CRO across our websites. Work with CRO and analytics specialists to identify opportunities and prioritise hypotheses. Own the delivery of website changes needed for experiments, while CRO specialists manage the tests. Make sure findings lead to clear decisions: implementing a change, reverting it, or revising a hypothesis. Work with specialists to measure the impact of what goes live.
  • Translate strategy into website improvements. Turn business, brand, and marketing goals into clear website briefs covering structure, messaging, user journeys, and expected outcomes. Define requirements and acceptance criteria together with the relevant specialists.
  • Collaborate across teams. Align marketing, content, design, SEO, PR, country teams, and product and engineering teams around shared website goals. Agree on responsibilities and dependencies so work can move forward across teams and brands.

We're looking for someone who has

  • Senior website experience. 5+ years working on high-traffic marketing websites, including 2+ years in a leadership role, preferably in B2B SaaS. You've worked across several websites, markets, or localised versions.
  • A hands-on approach. You have a working understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to understand page structure, forms, interactive elements, and tracking, and to discuss changes with developers. You can make small CMS updates, build prototypes, or test automations yourself, and know when to involve a specialist.
  • Technical judgement. You don't need to be a WordPress developer yourself, but you understand dependencies, technical debt, risk and limitations well enough to know why not every request can be done quickly and easily, and to explain that clearly to the people asking.
  • Delivery experience. You've owned a website roadmap, prioritised competing requests, and planned delivery around team capacity and dependencies. You've run sprint planning and release processes, including work delivered by contractors or agencies, and can explain the results and trade-offs.
  • WordPress and CMS knowledge. You understand how WordPress and multi-site environments support content publishing, localisation, integrations, and shared components. You can discuss CMS options, performance, and development workflows with technical leads and make informed decisions about scope and priorities.
  • AI and automation in your daily workflow. You've built and used practical AI-assisted workflows or automations with tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Make, or similar. You can explain the problem they solved, how you checked output quality and handled failures, and what improved. You know when AI adds value and when simple automation is enough.
  • CRO and testing experience. You have practical experience contributing to conversion optimisation and A/B testing alongside CRO or analytics specialists. You can explain how you helped form hypotheses, choose success measures, interpret results, and decide what to do next.
  • Analytics knowledge. You use web and product analytics to answer business questions and guide website priorities. You understand event tracking, conversion funnels, attribution, and journeys across websites and applications, using tools such as GA4, GTM, Clarity, Amplitude, or similar. You can define measurement needs with specialists and recognise data quality and tracking limitations.
  • CRM and lead workflow experience. You've worked with HubSpot or another CRM system to connect website forms, meeting booking, and lead workflows. You understand how leads reach the CRM, how they are assigned to sales representatives through routing rules such as round-robin, and how follow-up is triggered.
  • Web fundamentals. Understanding of UX/UI principles, SEO, accessibility, mobile optimisation, and website security.
  • Commercial thinking. You understand how websites contribute to demand, trials, leads, pipeline, and revenue. You can use business goals and customer needs to prioritise website work, define success measures, and distinguish website impact from other factors affecting results.
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders. You can put technical risk, resourcing needs and the consequences of a decision into business terms, and you are trusted when you say what is realistic in the time available.
  • Clear communication in a distributed team. You're comfortable in an async-first, globally distributed environment where Slack and clear written communication are the default. Upper-intermediate English or above.

Bonus points, if you have

  • A background in web development or another hands-on technical role.
  • Experience delivering websites using a headless CMS or modern frontend frameworks alongside WordPress.
  • Experience running a design system or shared component library across multiple sites or brands.
  • Experience with localisation and translation workflows at scale.
