THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Cen Cal Fire Systems, a division of Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to provide installation services of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. The ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor is an integral part of this position.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
Read and interpret blueprints and be able to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Installation of new, retrofits, and tenant improvement type projects.
Cut, thread, and groove pipe to trade specifications.
Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the other field installers and helpers.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU!
Four years of experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems.
CalFire Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification card is required.
Knowledge of NFPA 13.
Knowledge of NFPA 20 AND 24 are a plus but not required.
Provide quality craftmanship.
Ability to read fire system design drawings.
Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safely.
Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
