We are seeking a Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance function and support its continued development as the business grows. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced environment, will demonstrate strong initiative, and will bring both technical rigor and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to financial operations.

This is a hands-on, standalone role reporting directly to senior leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day finance function in its entirety, from transactional bookkeeping through to financial reporting, rather than overseeing a broader finance team. This role is well suited to a candidate who is comfortable working independently and does not require a larger team structure to perform effectively.

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with UK/Irish GAAP requirements
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting across the business
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll coordination, and day-to-day financial operations
• Ensure compliance with UK and Irish tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insight that drives decision-making
• Build and strengthen internal controls and financial processes as the company scales
• Support audit processes and liaise with external accountants/auditors

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role
• Strong knowledge of UK and/or Irish statutory and tax requirements
• Hands-on experience managing month-end close and financial reporting
• Fluency with US GAAP

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in a PE-backed or multi-entity environment
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting platforms (Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
• Experience operating across both UK and Irish entities
