The team + the role
Pendo's Total Rewards team runs the benefits, leave, and compensation programs that employees depend on for health coverage, financial security, and time away from work. Accurate enrollments, clean vendor data, and clear communication determine whether those programs work efficiently.
Total Rewards at Pendo runs on accuracy, speed, and a practice of improving every process we touch.
The Total Rewards Analyst administers benefits and leave programs day to day, keeps enrollment and eligibility data accurate across vendors and payroll, and reports on program health. The role partners with Payroll, Finance, the wider People Team, and external benefits vendors. At the P3 level, the role works independently within a defined scope, adapts established approaches to varied problems, and turns audit findings into process improvements. When the role is done well, employees get correct answers quickly, vendors receive clean files, and payroll deductions match elections the first time.
What this looks like day-to-day
- Benefits operations: Works the queue of life event changes and benefits inquiries, confirms each change lands correctly in vendor and payroll systems, and prepares open enrollment materials ahead of the annual window.
- Leave administration: Runs leave intake through return, keeps status tracking current, and sends timely updates to Payroll and the sales organization.
- Data quality: Audits benefits and compensation data on a recurring cadence, resolves eligibility file errors with providers, and documents the fix so the same error does not return.
- Compliance and reporting: Fulfills required benefits reporting and filing requirements such as audits, 5500 filings, Non-discrimination testing, etc.
- Support employee & manager inquiries: Triage escalated tickets through Kinfolk (AI based HR ticketing & workflow system), and enhance knowledge base and workflows.
- Vendor and invoice management: Reviews benefits invoices, supports invoice processing.
- Knowledge and documentation: Keeps leave and benefits guides, process documents, and employee resources accurate in Confluence and Google Drive.
- AI-assisted execution: Applies AI to drafting, anomaly detection, reporting, and documentation upkeep.
