Monadelphous is seeking a Security Operations Specialist to join our Cybersecurity team in Perth. Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, you will play a key defensive role, in monitoring, analysing and responding to security events across the organisation.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and managed security service providers, you'll help strengthen Monadelphous' security posture through incident response, threat analysis, vulnerability management and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Perform threat analysis, triage, containment and remediation activities for identified security risks.
- Manage and coordinate security incidents through ServiceNow, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
- Partner with managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) to investigate and respond to security events.
- Conduct endpoint- and identity-based investigations using industry-leading security monitoring, detection and response tools.
- Support vulnerability management activities and coordinate remediation efforts with internal stakeholders.
- Analyse threat intelligence and recommend actions to address emerging cyber threats.
- Manage email security activities, including phishing investigations, quarantine reviews and policy administration.
- Support identity and access management activities, including privileged access reviews, password hygiene and multifactor authentication controls.
- Identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities to improve security processes and controls.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with technical and non-technical stakeholders during incidents and investigations.

- Previous experience in Security Operations Centre (SOC), cybersecurity operations, incident response or a similar information security role.
- Experience investigating and responding to security incidents and cyber threats.
- Knowledge of SIEM platforms, identity and endpoint detection and response technologies, and security monitoring practices.
- Experience with CrowdStrike or similar identity and endpoint security platforms.
- Experience managing security controls within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Experience with ITIL-aligned service management foundations, using ServiceNow or similar service management and ticketing systems.
- Understanding of cyber threat indicators, attack techniques, defensive countermeasures and incident response methodologies.
- Knowledge of email security technologies, data loss prevention controls and identity security principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
- CISSP or other relevant cybersecurity certification.
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Experience working with or for managed security service providers.
- Experience in large, complex enterprise environments.
