Overview

Do you love creating a product that tens of thousands of engineers use? Can you tackle complex problems with many different priorities? Do you have experience building with cloud services and ensuring they deploy safe changes? Do you know how to plan and manage a large-scale distributed system? Are you excited to support the fast growing Copilot features and help them delight customers?

We are the M365 Core team, owning feature management platform that is used by 1000s of services within Microsoft with the highest reliability, high availability and provides safety guard rails to all our services as they rollout new changes.

You will work with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, designers across the world to shape the large-scale enterprise grade product which aims to offer the best user experience with optimized safety and agility.

Responsibilities
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for how AI agents transform production development and operations; translate that vision into prioritized investments and measurable customer and operational outcomes.
  • Own the end-to-end agentic AIOps experience. Define how operational signals, incidents, service context, code and configuration changes, and engineering knowledge are connected so agents can assess service health, recommend next steps, and help engineers move incidents toward resolution.
  • Build the evaluation and trust framework for production AI agents, defining success metrics and evaluation approaches for reasoning quality, grounding, diagnosis, recommended actions, safety, and operational outcomes.
  • Lead across organizational boundaries to align engineering, applied science, product, and partner teams on architectural contracts, product priorities, evaluation standards, and the evolution toward AI-native operations; surface trade-offs, resolve dependencies, and drive decisions to closure without relying on direct authority.
  • Proactively spot and initiate opportunities for new areas with growth mindset and innovation.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field AND 4+ years of significant experience in product management, software engineering, or technical program management, including a demonstrated record of defining and delivering complex, large-scale software or cloud services.
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguous and technically complex problems into clear product strategy, requirements, measurable outcomes, and executable roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively across product, engineering, applied science, and partner teams, aligning diverse perspectives and driving shared outcomes across organizational boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud service operations, reliability, observability, incident management, or AIOps, including the operational lifecycle from detection and diagnosis through mitigation, post-incident learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience building AI/ML-powered products, agentic experiences, or intelligent automation, with an understanding of grounding, evaluation, safety, and human oversight for production AI systems.

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
