As a Manufacturing Operations Manager for Meta, you will own manufacturing execution and technical operational excellence for assigned products and programs at our contract manufacturing (CM) partner sites.

You will lead factory readiness, production ramp, and sustaining operations while driving improvements in capacity, line layout, material flow, labor efficiency, cycle time, yield, and manufacturing cost. You will serve as a key interface between CM partners and internal cross-functional teams, independently resolving complex manufacturing issues and escalating broader program or business risks when appropriate.

Beyond day-to-day factory management, you will apply technical and data-driven problem-solving approaches to improve FATP and SMT performance, mature yield, automate operational reporting, and advance Smart Factory capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own defined workstreams for new factory, production line, and capacity-expansion readiness. Drive execution across line layout, equipment and labor planning, material flow, manufacturing lead time, and production capacity
  • Assess CM operational capabilities, identify gaps, and drive improvement plans aligned with product roadmap and ramp requirements
  • Lead the execution of CM across production planning, output, capacity and space utilization, labor efficiency, MES reporting, and manufacturing cost to meet operational targets
  • Identify factory-readiness, supply, capacity, schedule, and executions risks early. Develop mitigation and recovery plans in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lifecycle execution: Lead or coordinate ECO/ECN and PRQ implementation, equipment cross-qualification, line conversion, capacity changes, and CapEx reuse for assigned programs
  • Drive alignment and accountability across Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Test, Supply Chain, Planning, and the CM teams. Represent manufacturing operations in relevant program and readiness reviews
  • Own post-launch FATP and SMT line-layout reviews. Drive cycle-time reduction, bottleneck elimination, improved material flow, and continuous labor optimizations
  • Drive sustained improvement in UPH, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), tester cycle time, downtime, retest rate, labor efficiency, and other key manufacturing metrics
  • Own the functional yield bridge, including FPY and LPY performance, for assigned products. Drive yields maturation towards long-term quality and cost targets
  • Lead major issue list and technical issue reviews for assigned programs. Coordinate failure analysis and corrective actions to resolve process drift, yield loss, and recurring production issues
  • Use Python, JMP, Tableau, AI, or similar tools to automate yield tracking, improve operational dashboards, streamline reporting, and accelerate root-cause analysis
  • Drive defined automation, digital manufacturing, MES, sustainability, and data-intelligence initiatives with CM and cross-functional partners
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to CM teams and other engineers while promoting structured problem-solving and operational discipline

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing, including manufacturing operations, sustaining process engineering, hardware operations, or technical program management
  • Strong technical knowledge of FATP and SMT assembly and test processes, including line balancing, yield analysis, cycle-time reduction, retest reduction, and OEE improvement
  • Demonstrated experience independently owning factory-readiness, production-ramp, or sustaining-operations workstreams
  • Experience managing manufacturing requirements across cost, capacity, schedule, quality, line readiness, and production delivery
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis or scripting tools such as Python, JMP, Tableau, or modern AI tools for yield tracking, visualization, reporting automation, and root-cause analysis
  • Proven ability to lead complex failure analysis and corrective-action activities involving multiple technical and operational stakeholders
  • Experience managing program milestones, communicating status and risks to stakeholders, and influencing CM partners and cross-functional teams to meet commitments
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and make sound decisions using incomplete information
  • Ability to travel frequently within the APAC and other global locations Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional manufacturing initiatives from problem definition through implementation and sustained results
  • Experience developing scalable operational dashboards or data pipelines for manufacturing performance and yield management
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Design for Manufacturability, MES systems, and Smart Factory practices
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience with automated production-line bring-up, equipment or tester qualification, and process-automation projects
  • Experience with CM factory transfers, capacity expansion, line conversion, or cross-regional manufacturing qualification
