Why Emergency Medicine?
If you love hands-on medicine, thinking on your feet, and never knowing what your next case will bring, emergency medicine may be the perfect fit for you!
Our Emergency Veterinary Technicians are an essential part of the team, working alongside veterinarians to stabilize critical patients, perform treatments, assist with procedures, and provide advanced nursing care. From trauma and respiratory distress to complex medical cases, you'll use your technical skills, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities every shift.
This is an opportunity for technicians who enjoy staying active, learning new skills, working with a variety of cases, and being directly involved in patient care. No two shifts are the same, and your contributions can make a meaningful difference when patients need us most.
Schedule: This position follows a rotating overnight schedule with rotating weekend coverage. Flexibility is essential to support our 24/7 emergency service.
What You'll Do
Perform patient assessments, triage, and vital sign monitoring to identify changes in patient status.
Assist with emergency stabilization, including oxygen therapy, vascular access, and critical patient interventions.
Perform technical nursing skills, including IV catheter placement, medication administration, blood collection, and fluid therapy.
