Job Description:
The HR Insights & Compliance Analyst is a senior individual contributor within the Global HR Operations function, serving as the subject matter expert across HR data analytics, regulatory compliance, and operational reporting. This role is the analytical engine of the HR Operations team — responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and strategic utility of HR data, and for ensuring the organization’s people practices remain compliant with a complex and evolving global regulatory landscape.
The HR Insights & Compliance Analyst is not a report-runner. This role requires someone who thinks critically about data, builds systems that create ongoing visibility, partners with HR leadership and business stakeholders on meaningful insights, and brings the analytical rigor necessary to navigate right-to-work compliance, immigration coordination, internal and external audits, and global employment agreements. The person in this seat is a trusted advisor, a skilled communicator, and a steward of the data infrastructure that underpins every people decision the organization makes.
We are looking for a Multiplier — someone who does not wait to be handed a question before building the answer, who sees gaps in data visibility before others notice them, and who brings as much strategic thinking to their work as technical skill. If you are energized by complexity, ownership, and the opportunity to shape how a global HR function uses data to make better decisions — this role was built for you.
Key Responsibilities
Data Integrity & Governance
- Own the HR data integrity program, designing and executing recurring audit and review processes across Workday and connected systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of employee data
- Establish and maintain data governance standards for the HR Operations team, including field-level definitions, data entry conventions, and quality control checkpoints embedded in key HR workflows
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies across Workday, HRIS integrations, and downstream reporting systems, partnering with HRIS and relevant business stakeholders on root cause analysis and remediation
- Build and maintain a recurring data audit calendar, ensuring all critical data domains — including headcount, job data, compensation, and compliance fields — are reviewed on a defined cadence
- Partner with IT, Finance, and HR leadership to maintain the integrity of report-based system integrations, reviewing output files for accuracy and coordinating corrections when discrepancies are identified
Reporting, Dashboards & Analytics
- Design, build, and maintain HR dashboards and discovery boards that provide real-time visibility into workforce metrics, operational KPIs, compliance status, and program performance for HR leadership and business stakeholders
- Own the development and delivery of recurring reporting cadences including weekly HR stats, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), ensuring outputs are accurate, visually compelling, and analytically meaningful
- Translate raw HR data into narrative-driven insights, providing commentary, trend analysis, and recommended actions alongside standard reporting deliverables rather than presenting data without context
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, and leadership to develop ad hoc and strategic analyses that inform talent decisions, headcount planning, and organizational design
- Evaluate and continuously improve the HR reporting infrastructure in Workday, identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, or enhance existing report libraries and delivery mechanisms
- Maintain report-based data integrations between Workday and connected platforms, performing regular output reviews and coordinating with HRIS and IT on integration health, error resolution, and enhancement requests
Regulatory Compliance
- Serve as the HR Operations subject matter expert on US and global regulatory compliance obligations, maintaining a current and comprehensive understanding of applicable employment law, reporting requirements, and filing deadlines
- Own the HR compliance calendar, tracking all recurring regulatory obligations including EEO-1, VETS-4212, pay transparency reporting, state-specific HR filing requirements, and other applicable mandates
- Lead or coordinate the preparation and submission of required regulatory filings, partnering with Legal, Finance, and HR leadership to ensure accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery
- Monitor federal, state, and international regulatory developments that impact HR operations, proactively communicating changes and their operational implications to HR leadership and relevant stakeholders
- Conduct compliance risk assessments across HR operational processes, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions in partnership with Legal and HR leadership
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing compliance-related documentation, pulling data from Workday, and serving as the HR Operations point of contact for auditor inquiries
Qualifications
Required
- 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in HR operations, HR analytics, people data, or a closely related role, with demonstrated depth in data management, reporting, and at least one of the core compliance areas covered by this role
- Advanced proficiency with Workday as an HRIS, including report building (custom, matrix, composite), calculated fields, data auditing, and integration output review
- Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data modeling) and experience building dashboards or data visualizations for HR or business audiences
- Working knowledge of US employment regulatory compliance including EEO-1, VETS-4212, I-9/E-Verify, pay transparency requirements, and applicable state-level HR reporting obligations
- Familiarity with I-9 compliance and work authorization processes, including re-verification workflows and audit preparation
- Exceptional attention to detail and a zero-tolerance standard for data inaccuracy in reporting and compliance deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to HR leadership and senior business stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and contextually grounded way
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint), Zoom, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with BI or data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Workday Prism is a strong advantage
- Active and fluent use of AI productivity tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to enhance analytical output, communications, and operational workflows
- Demonstrated Multiplier behavior: a track record of building beyond what is asked, identifying analytical gaps before they are surfaced, and delivering work that raises the standard for the team
Preferred
- Experience building or owning an HR data governance or data integrity program
- Familiarity with HR system integrations and file-based data exchange between Workday and third-party platforms
- Experience supporting or leading EEO-1, VETS-4212, or similar regulatory filing processes
- Exposure to global HR compliance across multiple countries or regions
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
