Overview

When you join Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc. you are joining an organization that is deeply rooted in the Philosophy of “doing what is right as a human being”. Through this Philosophy, our employees are passionate about providing best in class customer service through efficiency, accountability and a sense of urgency all while putting knowledge to work to drive change.

In addition, we’re a Great Place to Work… and we really mean it! Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc. has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work since 2022. An organization earns this distinction when its employees have expressed their trust in the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.

As Senior Manager, Sales Planning & PSI Management, you will own the numbers that steer our business: the sales forecast, the PSI (Purchase, Sales, Inventory) plan, and pricing for Kyocera Document Solutions America (KDA), its US-based Subsidiaries, and its overseas Sales Companies. You will build and run the planning frameworks behind these numbers, spot risks early, and bring Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and our parent company in Japan together to act on them — so we maximize sales, avoid excess inventory and backorders, and price with confidence.

This role is a great fit for someone who is analytical, structured, and detail-oriented, yet able to step back and see the bigger picture — someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear recommendations and building scalable, repeatable processes that support both short-term performance and long-term business objectives.

Why You’ll Love This Role

+         Real ownership: You will own the Sales Planning, PSI, and pricing frameworks — not just run them — and shape how they evolve.

+         Visibility with leadership: You will partner closely with Sales leadership, Marketing, the Sales Companies, and our parent company in Japan, so your insights directly shape business decisions.

+         End-to-end, global scope: You will see the business from forecast to factory order, inventory, and price, across the US and international Sales Companies.

+         Room to build: You will partner with IT to improve the data, tools, and systems (including Power BI) behind planning and reporting, and use AI to automate routine work and elevate how planning and analysis are done.

The chance to do something meaningful, to challenge yourself, to be a part of change in an industry, to influence change doesn’t come around every day.

Responsibilities

Sales Planning

Deliver forecasts and plans that leaders can trust and act on.

+         Forecasting methodology: Design, propose, and continuously refine sales planning methodologies to ensure accurate, consistent, and actionable sales forecasts across KDA and its Sales Companies.

+         Sales forecasts: Drive the creation of monthly, quarterly, and long-term sales revenue forecasts for KDA and our parent company in Japan (KDC), ensuring alignment with agreed methodologies and assumptions.

+         Performance analysis: Analyze revenue and profit performance of KDA sales organizations and Sales Companies, identify business issues and root causes, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to business leaders.

+         Plans & budgets: Lead the creation of sales-related financial plans, budgets, and targets, ensuring consistency between forecasts and financial planning.

+         Finance partnership: Work closely with Finance to coordinate accruals, validate forecast assumptions, and support audits of financial results and performance.

Supply Chain Management

Keep the right inventory in the right place — minimizing excess inventory and backorders.

+         Strategic Ownership & Governance

o    PSI framework: Design and own a robust end-to-end PSI planning and execution framework that proactively prevents excess inventory and backorders and ensures optimal inventory levels across KDA, US-based Subsidiaries, and overseas Sales Companies.

o    Risk governance & escalation: Establish clear governance and escalation mechanisms that enable early detection of inventory risks, quantitative assessment of business impact, and timely cross-functional alignment on corrective actions.

o    Excess inventory prevention & reduction: Drive preventive measures when risks of excess inventory are identified, and lead cross-functional inventory reduction initiatives when excess or aged inventory materializes.

o    Subsidiary & Sales Company governance: Strengthen PSI planning and execution governance across Subsidiaries and Sales Companies through direct leadership.

o    External risk response: Continuously monitor external factors such as tariffs, logistics costs, and regulatory changes that may impact supply chain costs, and lead timely impact analysis and response with Finance, IT, and Management teams.

+         Operational Management

o    Supply chain practices: Ensure proper supply chain management practices are followed across KDA, US-based Subsidiaries, and overseas Sales Companies.

o    Forecasting & ordering: Oversee forecasting and ordering to factories and third-party suppliers to maximize sales while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

o    Inventory management: Oversee inventory management and collaborate with related organizations to drive corrective action plans for excess inventory, aging inventory, and backorders.

o    Supply chain visibility: Monitor and report supply chain status — orders, shipments, receipts, and backorders — to ensure visibility and accountability.

o    Data, systems & process improvement: Partner with IT to design and enhance the data infrastructure, tools, and systems behind accurate analysis and reporting, and lead process improvement initiatives and system implementations that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

o    AI-driven automation & enhancement: Leverage AI and automation tools to automate routine work, enhance planning, analysis, and reporting, and continuously improve processes across Sales Planning, PSI, and Pricing.

o    Execution with partners: Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of supply chain operations.

o    Cost & compliance: Monitor landed costs, freight contracts, and export control compliance in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Pricing

Price with discipline and support the deals that grow the business.

+         Price management: Manage standard and factory order pricing for KDA and its Sales Companies, and propose pricing methodology improvements to management.

+         Programs & promotions: Collaborate with KDC to develop and manage support programs such as achievement bonuses, special tender support, and promotions, and manage special price programs and promotions.

+         Special price approval: Act as business owner of the special price approval application.

+         Business cases: Provide business case and pricing analysis for special hardware/software customization projects.

Relationships

You will work closely and regularly with a broad range of partners, including:

+         Sales: Sales Division Vice Presidents, Regional Sales Directors, Area Sales Managers, and sales organizations in KDA and its US-based Subsidiaries.

+         PSI experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in PSI planning and execution (demand planning, inventory management, and supply planning), including proven experience managing and optimizing PSI processes to prevent excess inventory, aging inventory, and backorders.

+         Inventory expertise: Solid knowledge of inventory management and optimization techniques.

+         Supply chain systems: Experience with supply chain management systems such as SAP, JDA, Oracle, or equivalent.

+         Excel: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data analysis, advanced formulas, and dynamic spreadsheets, plus advanced use of PivotTables for analysis and reporting.

+         BI tools: Hands-on experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

+         Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving process improvement projects, with strong leadership skills to coach, develop, and guide team members.

+         Analytics & communication: Strong analytical skills to synthesize data from multiple sources into data-driven recommendations, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.

+         Execution: Self-directed and detail-oriented, able to work independently and manage multiple initiatives in parallel with strong time management, project management, and follow-through.

+         Experience working with global or multinational organizations.

+         Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and data models.

+         Knowledge and experience with VBA.

+         Visibility with leadership: You will partner closely with Sales leadership, Marketing, the Sales Companies, and our parent company in Japan, so your insights directly shape business decisions.
