is seeking a Controls Engineer to contribute to the development, integration, and support of industrial automation and digital manufacturing solutions. In this role, you will work at the intersection of Controls, Operational Technology (OT), and Manufacturing Systems, helping connect production equipment with digital manufacturing platforms while strengthening the team’s internal technical capabilities.
This position offers a unique combination of industrial automation, software, data, and manufacturing systems, with exposure to the complete information flow from production equipment to enterprise manufacturing systems.
Our Team
Our Controls and Automation team is expanding its capabilities beyond traditional equipment support into OT connectivity, data acquisition, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integration, and manufacturing digitalization. We are building a multidisciplinary team where Controls, Automation, Systems, and Manufacturing knowledge complement one another.
What You Will Do
- Develop and support automation and digital manufacturing solutions that connect production equipment with manufacturing systems and platforms.
- Integrate PLCs, production equipment, industrial communications, and applications to improve system connectivity and data availability.
- Develop and maintain solutions using Ignition, scripting, databases, and data collection technologies.
- Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Opcenter, and other manufacturing system integrations.
- Troubleshoot across multiple technology layers, from machine and PLC communication to applications and databases.
- Improve system reliability by preventing recurring issues, documenting knowledge, and standardizing technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Controls, Manufacturing, Maintenance, IT, and other engineering functions on equipment integration, automation upgrades, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing systems, system integration, or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- Experience with programming, scripting, or database query languages.
- Experience troubleshooting systems involving software, databases, networks, or industrial automation.
- Knowledge of databases, networks, servers, APIs, or system integration.
- Experience documenting technical solutions and working across engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or IT functions.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Ignition, Python, Jython, or SQL.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, industrial networks, or industrial communication technologies.
- Experience with MES, Opcenter, or manufacturing system integrations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or with new equipment integration.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, or manufacturing digitalization projects.
- Education in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, or a related discipline.
