Position: Integrated Marketing Intern
Location: KEEN’s Global Headquarters in Portland, Oregon (on-site)
Duration: 10 weeks
Compensation: $22/hour
Program Duration: Monday, June 14th – Friday, August 20th
What You'll Do
As an Intern at KEEN (KEENtern), you’ll dive into the exciting world of footwear, innovation, and community! You’ll get hands-on experience working alongside industry experts and contribute to shaping the future of KEEN.
The Integrated Marketing KEENtern will support the team that connects brand and product choices to how KEEN shows up in market-across launches, partnerships, channels and regions. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how integrated marketing is built: from gathering consumer and cultural inputs, to supporting GTM planning, launch readiness and post-launch learning.
A key project within the internship will support the development of a stronger communications foundation for KEEN Effect - helping make the work easier for priority audiences to find, understand and connect to KEEN's broader purpose.
You will contribute useful, well-defined work that helps the team stay organized, informed and connected, while gaining exposure to KEEN's product, purpose and cultural activation agenda.
You will gain exposure to how a global brand turns sustainability and brand values, alongside consumer, product and cultural insight, into integrated market plans. You will work across product, creative, channel, market and KEEN Effect teams, and learn how launches are planned, coordinated, activated and assessed.
Essential Responsibilities
Integrated Marketing
- Support GTM planning, launch readiness and learning
- Help maintain planning decks, trackers and working documents for priority launches, moments and collaborations.
- Consolidate inputs from product, creative, fan insights, channel and market teams into clear, current source-of-truth materials.
- Capture decisions, next steps, dependencies and open questions from weekly brand and product meetings.
- Support the preparation of meeting materials, briefs and readouts for priority workstreams.
- Compile concise recaps of launches and collaborations taking place during the internship, capturing the activity, early response and key learning.
KEEN Effect storytelling
- Help develop a clearer communications foundation for KEEN Effect, translating complex work into information that is relevant, understandable and easier for priority audiences to navigate.
- Organize existing KEEN Effect online content and source materials, beginning with KOL; identify gaps, duplication, outdated information and opportunities to improve the experience.
- Research a focused set of relevant communications examples-including outdoor and purpose-led brands-to identify useful practices in content hierarchy, storytelling, navigation and calls to action.
- Support I&E and KEEN Effect in organizing existing information around priority areas of work, such as product sustainability, impact investment, thought leadership and employee action.
- Help develop a practical summary of findings, content priorities and initial recommendations that can inform future content updates and implementation.
Provide ad hoc integrated marketing team support:
- Coordinate selected product-seeding requests for creative and brand partners, including order tracking and follow-through.
- Maintain accurate project files, links and source materials.
- Support ad hoc research, meeting preparation and coordination needs across priority I&E workstreams.

- Must be able to work 40 hours/week during the internship program during normal working hours (Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and be available to work in the office 5 days/week.
- Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-through across multiple workstreams.
- Clear written communication and confidence synthesizing research, conversations and information into useful summaries.
- Comfort with PowerPoint, Figma, Google Slides or similar presentation tools; familiarity with spreadsheets is helpful.
- Curiosity about the outdoor, lifestyle and cultural spaces KEEN moves within.
