Senior FP&A Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior FP&A Associate based in India.

This is a high-impact FP&A role focused on strengthening financial visibility, planning, and decision support across a growing real estate business.
You will turn financial data into forward-looking insights that help leadership understand performance, spending, and future requirements.
The role spans monthly financial tracking, budgeting, forecasting, pricing analysis, and longer-term planning across a 12–24 month horizon.
You will work closely with accounting and bookkeeping teams to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and decision-ready.
Your analytical work will help identify trends, investigate inconsistencies, and bring greater structure and discipline to financial planning.
This is an opportunity for an analytical and independent finance professional who enjoys solving complex financial questions and working directly with senior stakeholders.
The position is fully remote in India and offers substantial ownership in an evolving, fast-paced environment.

• Build and maintain monthly financial tracking across the business, ensuring key financial information is organized, accurate, and actionable.

• Support annual and ongoing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across a 12–24 month horizon.

• Analyze spending trends and provide leadership with clear insight into where money is being allocated and what future financial requirements may look like.

• Conduct pricing-related analysis and support data-driven pricing and business decisions.

• Partner closely with bookkeeping and accounting teams to validate financial information and ensure data is complete and suitable for planning purposes.

• Investigate inconsistencies, gaps, unusual patterns, and discrepancies in financial data, following issues through until they are understood and resolved.

• Translate financial information into structured reports, models, and analysis that support internal decision-making.

• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and planning support to senior stakeholders as business needs evolve.

• Identify opportunities to improve financial visibility, reporting discipline, planning processes, and overall financial management.

• Help establish and refine FP&A processes and frameworks as the business grows.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, finance, or a closely related role.

• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex financial information into practical business insights.

• Advanced proficiency in both Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and pattern-recognition skills.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software and the ability to navigate and interpret financial data from accounting systems.

• Demonstrated ability to investigate discrepancies, question assumptions, and follow issues through until the underlying numbers reconcile.

• Comfortable working with ambiguity, incomplete information, and evolving business requirements.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and in a decision-useful format.

• Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders and supporting financial decisions with well-structured analysis.

• High level of ownership, initiative, independence, and problem-solving ability.

• Experience supporting pricing decisions is an advantage.

• Experience in startups, high-growth businesses, or lean teams is a plus.

• Experience working closely with accounting or bookkeeping teams is beneficial.

• Experience building or improving financial planning processes from the ground up is a strong advantage.
