This is a channel-focused sales role responsible for accelerating growth through reseller and distributor partnerships across North America.
You will develop and execute partner strategies that expand adoption of open-source, cloud, virtualization, and technical software solutions.
The role combines new-business development with long-term relationship management, requiring both prospecting and account-growth capabilities.
You will identify new partners, guide them through onboarding and enablement, and build joint go-to-market plans that create sustainable commercial opportunities.
You will manage channel pipelines, support sales and pre-sales training, and serve as a trusted advisor to priority partners.
The environment is highly distributed, entrepreneurial, and fast-moving, offering significant autonomy to shape initiatives and develop new business.
The position is home-based in the US or Canada and involves collaboration with teams and partners across a broad geographic territory.
Accountabilities

Develop and execute channel strategies for distributors and resellers across the assigned North American territory.

Identify, prospect, recruit, and engage new channel partners while strengthening existing reseller and distributor relationships.

Build and maintain a healthy partner pipeline through consistent prospecting, recurring engagement, and structured follow-up.

Own assigned annual growth targets and develop initiatives designed to deliver sustainable revenue growth through the channel.

Create mutually beneficial go-to-market strategies, commercial plans, and commitments with partners.

Guide new partners through onboarding, enablement, and ongoing development.

Organize and deliver sales and pre-sales training sessions to reseller and distributor partners.

Increase awareness and adoption of open-source, Linux, cloud, virtualization, and related technical solutions within the partner ecosystem.

Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for priority partners, ensuring strong engagement and partner satisfaction.

Participate in customer discovery conversations and presentations when appropriate, supporting partners and direct customer opportunities.

Represent the organization at external events, industry activities, and partner engagements.

Take ownership of initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background, preferably in technology or a related field.

Professional experience in software, technology, or related sales within the North American market.

Demonstrated experience working with reseller, distributor, VAR, or other channel partner ecosystems.

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets through prospecting, relationship development, negotiation, and closing.

Understanding of open-source technologies, Linux, and Ubuntu, with the ability to communicate the value of technical solutions to partners and customers.

Strong business-development and prospecting skills, with the confidence to identify and pursue new opportunities.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and disciplined follow-up, with the ability to manage multiple partner relationships and sales opportunities effectively.
