AWS Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AWS Manager based in India.

Lead the delivery of scalable, secure, and innovative AWS solutions while guiding a high-performing technical team.
This role combines people leadership with hands-on architecture, giving you the opportunity to influence both technology and talent development.
You’ll serve as an AWS subject matter expert across infrastructure, security, compliance, automation, and cloud governance.
You’ll lead complex cloud and contact center initiatives involving Amazon Connect, AI/ML services, and enterprise platforms.
The role offers exposure to technologies such as Amazon Lex, SageMaker, Bedrock, Amazon Q, Salesforce Service Cloud, and leading CCaaS platforms.
You’ll work closely with business and technical leaders to establish priorities, improve delivery, and drive measurable outcomes.
With a flexible remote-first environment, the position is suited to an experienced AWS leader who enjoys combining strategic direction with hands-on technical contribution.

• Serve as an AWS subject matter expert, providing technical direction, architectural guidance, and leadership to internal engineering teams.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop AWS professionals by setting clear objectives, conducting regular 1:1s, supporting career development, and providing performance feedback.
• Build and manage high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and motivated working environment.
• Oversee resource staffing, utilization, capacity planning, and talent acquisition activities to support business growth.
• Develop and execute hiring strategies aligned with evolving technical and organizational needs.
• Establish and monitor OKRs, ensuring team priorities remain aligned with broader business objectives.
• Partner with business and technical leaders to prioritize initiatives, resolve challenges, and deliver impactful outcomes.
• Balance people management with hands-on contribution as an AWS Solution or Technical Architect.
• Design, implement, and optimize AWS architectures with a focus on scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency.
• Establish cloud governance, automation, DevOps practices, and operational standards that improve reliability and efficiency.
• Lead complex AWS projects involving services such as Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, AWS SageMaker, Amazon Q, and Amazon Bedrock.
• Drive cloud contact center initiatives using AWS and third-party platforms such as Genesys, Twilio, Avaya, NICE CX, TalkDesk, Five9, and RingCentral.
• Guide integrations between Amazon Connect and Salesforce Service Cloud environments, including relevant voice and telephony architectures.
• Identify technical risks and roadblocks, develop solutions, and provide hands-on technical leadership throughout delivery.
• Promote AWS architectural best practices and support teams in making effective solution design decisions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience leading and managing technical teams; experience managing other managers is an advantage for senior-level positions.
• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, infrastructure, security, compliance, automation, and governance.
• Proven experience leading technical teams while improving delivery, operational efficiency, and innovation.
• Hands-on experience in the contact center domain, particularly with Amazon Connect.
• Knowledge of AI/ML solutions and AWS services including SageMaker, Bedrock, and Amazon Q.
• Experience integrating Amazon Connect with Salesforce Service Cloud environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud contact center platforms such as Genesys, Twilio, Avaya, NICE CX, TalkDesk, Five9, or RingCentral is preferred.
• Strong solution architecture and technical problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable cloud solutions.
• Comfortable remaining hands-on with technical architecture and coding while managing people and delivery responsibilities.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed environment and collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Willingness to travel when required, with certain roles potentially involving travel of up to approximately 25%.
