Salesforce Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Project Manager based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end Salesforce and technology implementation projects across diverse industries.
You will take ownership of project planning, execution, governance, and delivery, ensuring initiatives remain on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards.
Working in Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall environments, you will coordinate technical and business teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing expectations, facilitating discussions, and driving effective feedback and decision-making.
The position combines delivery leadership, Salesforce expertise, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination.
You will work closely with developers, administrators, architects, QA professionals, and business analysts to remove blockers and optimize resources.
This is a fast-paced consulting environment suited to an experienced project manager who brings strong ownership, structured thinking, and a client-focused approach.

• Own the complete project lifecycle from initiation through closure, defining scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and delivery priorities.
• Establish and maintain project plans, monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Take accountability for project delivery, governance, and key project-level decisions.
• Act as the primary client contact, managing expectations, providing regular status updates, addressing escalations, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Facilitate requirements discussions, product demonstrations, feedback sessions, and communication loops between business and technical stakeholders.
• Plan and manage sprints, backlog grooming, release cycles, and other Agile delivery activities across Salesforce implementations.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, while maintaining alignment between business requirements and technical execution.
• Coordinate Salesforce developers, administrators, architects, QA specialists, and business analysts, allocating tasks, monitoring productivity, removing blockers, and optimizing resource utilization.
• Maintain project documentation, including RAID logs, project plans, status reports, and other governance materials.
• Track delivery KPIs such as timeline adherence, budget, and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with established delivery frameworks and standards.
• Manage change requests and scope creep while proactively escalating critical risks and issues to the appropriate stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end Salesforce implementations and multiple projects or client engagements.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches, with the ability to manage projects from initiation to closure.
• Hands-on familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem, including platforms such as Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, and the ability to connect business requirements with technical execution.
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its application to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Zoho Projects, Jira, ClickUp, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with reporting and documentation tools such as Excel and Confluence, including maintaining project documentation and tracking KPIs.
• Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage expectations, facilitate discussions, and handle escalations effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in identifying risks early and developing practical mitigation strategies.
• High ownership and accountability, structured thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced consulting environments.
• Strong collaboration and team leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate diverse technical and business teams.
• Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform, or Consultant are preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is preferred.
• Previous experience in a consulting or System Integrator (SI) environment is an advantage.
