This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager, Permitting based in United States.
This role is central to helping commercial construction projects navigate complex permitting requirements and stay on schedule. You will serve as the key connection between clients, permitting authorities, and internal teams, guiding projects through regulatory processes and approval milestones. The position combines permitting expertise, project management, client advisory, and proactive problem-solving. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously while identifying roadblocks and developing practical solutions to keep work moving. You will also contribute to improving permitting workflows, best practices, and operational processes. Working closely with leadership, Product, and Engineering, you will help shape tools and processes that make permitting more predictable and efficient.
Accountabilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of local permitting requirements, building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes across multiple markets.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance through complex permitting processes and helping them achieve efficient approvals.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with municipal officials and permitting staff to help accelerate project approvals.
- Manage multiple permitting projects simultaneously, tracking milestones, timelines, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Anticipate permitting roadblocks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects progressing toward completion.
- Coordinate with internal Product, Engineering, and leadership teams to improve workflows, tools, and the overall client experience.
- Contribute to the development of scalable permitting best practices and operational processes.
- Help improve the predictability, efficiency, and speed of permitting operations across commercial projects.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience in architecture, construction, permitting, or a closely related field, with hands-on involvement in permitting processes.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning requirements, regulatory frameworks, and permitting procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships with clients, municipal officials, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving regulatory or operational roadblocks.
- Proficiency with relevant software and operational tools, with the adaptability to learn new systems quickly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are continuously improved and priorities may evolve.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
Benefits:
