Cybersecurity Analyst| Senior

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst| Senior based in Brazil.

This senior cybersecurity role focuses on protecting critical financial and digital operations against sophisticated threats and fraud. You will work across threat intelligence, fraud prevention, threat modeling, incident response, and security monitoring. The role involves investigating complex security events and evolving detection and automated response capabilities using modern SIEM/SOAR technologies. You will help assess vulnerabilities, strengthen security controls, and improve resilience across critical systems and payment environments. Acting as a technical reference, you will collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to translate complex risks into practical security solutions. The position offers significant autonomy and an opportunity to contribute to the continuous maturity of cybersecurity practices in a highly critical environment.

• Develop and implement advanced cybersecurity strategies designed to protect critical financial and digital operations.
• Prevent, detect, and investigate banking and financial fraud, including scenarios involving Pix, TED, boletos, and digital payments.
• Conduct Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) activities to identify emerging threats, attack patterns, indicators of compromise, and suspicious behavior.
• Perform Threat Modeling and risk assessments to identify critical threats and define appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events using Microsoft Sentinel and SIEM/SOAR capabilities.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve detection rules, event correlation, alerts, and automated response mechanisms.
• Analyze threats using established frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Lead or participate in the response to complex security incidents, from investigation through containment and mitigation.
• Assess vulnerabilities, security risks, and existing controls, recommending technical and architectural improvements.
• Participate in security testing, penetration testing, and specialized technical audits.
• Design and implement advanced security controls focused on availability, integrity, confidentiality, and system resilience.
• Contribute to the evolution of security policies, standards, procedures, and controls in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and work with security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
• Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand business and security challenges, propose solutions, and lead technical discussions.
• Produce technical documentation, risk assessments, security reports, and actionable recommendations.
• Act as a technical cybersecurity reference, supporting internal teams and sharing knowledge.
• Contribute to security training, best-practice dissemination, and the continuous improvement of the organization’s security maturity.
• Respond proactively to critical situations, applying strong technical judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Solid cybersecurity experience at a Senior/Staff Engineer, Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, Cybersecurity Consultant, Cybersecurity Specialist, or equivalent level.
• Practical experience in fintech, banking, payment services, or highly critical financial operations.
• Hands-on experience with banking and digital fraud prevention and detection.
• Knowledge of fraud scenarios involving Pix, TED, boletos, and digital payments.
• Experience with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and advanced threat analysis.
• Experience with Threat Modeling and security risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms, preferably Microsoft Sentinel.
• Knowledge of security monitoring, investigation, and incident response processes.
• Understanding of security controls, vulnerabilities, security testing, and technical audits.
• Ability to analyze complex cybersecurity challenges, identify risks, and develop practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Autonomous, proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and make sound technical decisions in critical situations.
