Consultant JDA Dispatcher WMS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consultant JDA Dispatcher WMS based in Switzerland.

We are seeking an experienced JDA Dispatcher WMS Consultant to support a leading multinational organization operating in the logistics sector. In this role, you will contribute to the management, optimization, and continuous improvement of critical supply chain applications, ensuring reliable and efficient warehouse management operations. You will leverage your expertise in JDA Dispatcher WMS, Oracle PL/SQL, and application management to support complex IT environments and business-critical systems. Working closely with international and virtual teams, you will help design technical solutions, manage application changes, and ensure smooth production support. You will also collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate technical requirements, releases, and deployments. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex international IT projects in a fully remote European environment.

• Manage, maintain, and support complex IT applications within an international logistics and supply chain environment.
• Provide specialized application support for JDA Dispatcher Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring system stability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor and manage production support processes, identifying technical issues and coordinating their resolution.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design effective application enhancements and system improvements.
• Develop and assess program logic, screen layouts, reports, and testing criteria to support the implementation of new or enhanced functionalities.
• Work with Oracle databases and PL/SQL to support application development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with international virtual teams, business stakeholders, technical specialists, and external vendors.
• Coordinate vendor management activities and contribute to quotation processes, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Support application release cycles, deployment activities, and change management processes.
• Assess the potential risks and business impact of proposed system changes before implementation.
• Contribute to system integration activities, including Business-to-Business (B2B) and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions.
• Use Linux shell scripting and architectural principles to support application operations and technical improvements.
• Ensure application management practices follow established standards and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience working with complex IT solutions in an international corporate environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Application Specialist within the supply chain domain, preferably involving Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong hands-on expertise in JDA Dispatcher WMS, with the ability to manage, support, and optimize business-critical applications.
• Excellent understanding of application management principles and production support processes.
• Solid knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including database querying, troubleshooting, and development.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of software architecture patterns and their practical application in enterprise IT environments.
• Experience analyzing and designing program logic, screen layouts, reports, and testing criteria for system development and enhancements.
• Knowledge of software release cycles, deployment procedures, and change management processes.
• Understanding of system integration concepts, particularly B2B and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).
• Ability to evaluate technical risks and assess the potential business impact of application changes.
• Experience working effectively within international and virtual teams.
• Familiarity with vendor management and quotation processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a remote international environment.
