As the Lead Solutions Architect, you will shape the strategy and architecture of a global HR technology ecosystem, with SAP SuccessFactors at its core. You will oversee end-to-end solutions spanning the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to compensation, learning, workforce planning, and employee management. Working across HR, Finance, IT, Payroll, Identity, and Analytics, you will ensure seamless integrations, reliable workforce data, and secure, scalable systems. This role combines strategic architectural leadership with hands-on guidance throughout implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will influence senior stakeholders, establish enterprise standards, and translate complex technology decisions into practical business outcomes. Join a collaborative, global environment where your expertise will help modernize HR operations and deliver intuitive, efficient experiences for employees and business leaders.

Accountabilities

  • Lead HR solution strategy and architecture: Own the target architecture and long-term technology roadmap for the HR ecosystem, including SAP SuccessFactors and complementary workforce, adoption, and enterprise platforms. Establish architecture governance, design standards, decision rights, change controls, and documentation practices.

  • Align technology with business priorities: Partner with HR leaders, product managers, and process owners to standardize, simplify, and digitize workflows across core HR, talent management, compensation, learning, recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning.

  • Govern platform design and performance: Review and approve solution designs, configurations, extensions, releases, and enhancements. Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for scalability, security, reliability, performance, supportability, and long-term maintainability.

  • Drive data architecture and integration: Define standards for HR data structures, master data, metadata, quality, retention, reporting, and auditability. Establish integration patterns using APIs, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), middleware, event-driven processes, and batch exchanges.

  • Enable reliable enterprise connectivity: Oversee the exchange of workforce, organizational, cost center, position, compensation, payroll, labor-cost, and planning data across HR and connected Finance, Identity, Payroll, and Analytics systems. Establish clear data ownership, lineage, processing schedules, reconciliation, monitoring, and exception management.

  • Strengthen security, privacy, and compliance: Embed cybersecurity, privacy, access governance, segregation of duties, privileged-access controls, identity lifecycle management, and audit requirements into architectural decisions. Collaborate with relevant control owners and enterprise stakeholders to protect sensitive employee and compensation data.

  • Guide implementation and delivery: Provide technical leadership throughout implementations, upgrades, transformations, acquisitions, and enhancements. Review functional and technical designs, validate configurations, approve integration specifications, resolve complex design-related defects, and support testing, cutover, and adoption.

  • Optimize platforms and business value: Lead post-launch stabilization and continuous improvement, assess new SAP SuccessFactors features and releases, and advise on their architectural impact. Manage platform demand, capacity, licensing, investment recommendations, dependencies, and technical risks while communicating progress and value to senior leaders.

  • Influence and collaborate across the organization: Facilitate decisions across business and technology teams, communicate complex topics clearly to executive audiences, and balance delivery speed, user experience, scalability, and control.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Professional experience: At least 10 years of experience in enterprise applications, HR technology, or solution architecture, including at least 5 years leading teams, platforms, or architecture in a global, matrixed environment.

  • SAP SuccessFactors expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, particularly Employee Central, with experience integrating HR and talent platforms with compensation, payroll, Finance, Identity, workforce planning, and Analytics systems. SAP certification is required.

  • HR and data architecture: Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes, organizational and position structures, master data management, workforce data governance, reporting, and workforce analytics.

  • Integration technologies: Practical knowledge of APIs, SAP CPI, middleware, data exchanges, integration monitoring, reconciliation, and enterprise integration controls.

  • Transformation and implementation leadership: Proven success delivering global implementations, technology transformations, upgrades, acquisitions, vendor engagements, and continuous-improvement roadmaps.

  • Problem-solving skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct structured analysis and root-cause investigations, assess trade-offs, prioritize competing demands, and design pragmatic solutions that balance speed, scale, user experience, and control.
