Director of AI SecOps

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of AI SecOps based in the United States.

We are seeking a technically accomplished leader to drive the application of artificial intelligence across client-facing cybersecurity services. In this hands-on leadership role, you will identify opportunities to automate complex security workflows, develop AI-powered solutions, and improve the scalability and effectiveness of cybersecurity operations. You will combine software engineering expertise, AI capabilities, and security knowledge to address challenging technical problems and deliver measurable value to clients. Working closely with engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and senior client stakeholders, you will shape technical strategy and guide the implementation of innovative solutions. You will also mentor multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with leadership to advance service innovation. You will lead AI-driven technical initiatives that enhance cybersecurity service delivery, streamline operational workflows, and create scalable solutions tailored to client needs.

• Lead AI-powered automation initiatives across client-facing cybersecurity services.

• Identify opportunities to apply AI models, software engineering practices, and automation techniques to solve complex client challenges.

• Guide the design, development, integration, and implementation of AI-enabled security solutions.

• Provide technical leadership on software architecture, system integration, automation frameworks, and solution scalability.

• Lead, mentor, and support software engineers and technical cybersecurity professionals, fostering collaboration and strong engineering practices.

• Work directly with senior client stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.

• Collaborate with company leadership to define technical priorities, identify opportunities for service innovation, and improve cybersecurity delivery models.

• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and software development approaches to identify practical applications within cybersecurity operations.

• Ensure that AI-driven solutions address real operational challenges and support effective, reliable, and scalable service delivery.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong software development expertise with practical AI experience, proven technical leadership, and the ability to work effectively with clients and executive stakeholders.

• Strong professional experience in software development and engineering.

• Demonstrated experience applying AI technologies to complex technical challenges.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, automation, and system integration.

• Proven ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary technical teams.

• Significant client-facing experience, including direct engagement with senior executives and technical decision-makers.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical technical solutions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional fluency in English.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote, international environment.

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

• Experience in cybersecurity operations, security engineering, or related technical security disciplines.

• Knowledge of threat modeling methodologies and practices.

• Experience developing or implementing AI-driven cybersecurity automation.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern software development environments.

• Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing security workflows and technical systems.
