In this freelance project, you will evaluate and refine AI-generated Umbundu content to improve its linguistic accuracy, fluency, and naturalness. You will identify recurring errors, provide detailed linguistic feedback, and contribute to improving prompts and evaluation methods. As an Umbundu Language Specialist, you will evaluate AI-generated content, provide expert linguistic guidance, and help improve the quality and cultural relevance of language models.

• Review, annotate, and refine Umbundu text generated by AI systems.

• Evaluate linguistic accuracy, grammar, syntax, semantics, fluency, style, and overall readability.

• Assess whether AI-generated content reflects authentic Umbundu usage and appropriate cultural context.

• Identify, document, and categorize recurring linguistic errors, inconsistencies, and unnatural expressions.

• Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated Umbundu content.

• Contribute to the refinement of prompts, evaluation methods, and linguistic guidelines.

• Apply your understanding of Umbundu language conventions and cultural nuances to ensure outputs are natural and contextually appropriate.

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to support consistent language quality and continuous improvement of AI systems.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has excellent Umbundu language proficiency, a strong understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances, and experience working with language-related content. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to communicate feedback clearly and constructively.

• Fluency in Umbundu is required, with a strong understanding of grammar, syntax, vocabulary, semantics, and cultural context.

• Demonstrated professional experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing, proofreading, or a related field.

• Experience in linguistic annotation, language-data evaluation, training, or coaching is an advantage.

• Ability to evaluate written content for accuracy, fluency, consistency, and cultural appropriateness.

• Strong written communication skills and the ability to provide structured, actionable feedback.

• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when identifying subtle linguistic errors and unnatural phrasing.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to recognize patterns and recommend improvements.

• Ability to work independently, follow detailed guidelines, and maintain consistent quality standards.

Benefits:
