As a Healthcare Data Analyst, you will turn complex medical and pharmacy claims data into actionable insights that improve healthcare outcomes and medication use. You will develop and maintain analytical tools that help health plans understand care patterns, identify opportunities for improvement, and support better clinical decisions. Working alongside clinical research, product, and technology teams, you will contribute to real-world evidence studies and digital health solutions that deliver insights directly to clinicians. You will also help strengthen data integration, standardization, and automation processes while exploring opportunities to apply AI to healthcare analytics. This remote role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale healthcare datasets and collaborate across disciplines in a mission-driven, data-focused environment.

Accountabilities:

You will develop healthcare analytics solutions that transform medical and pharmacy claims data into reliable insights for clinical teams, healthcare organizations, and digital health products. You will collaborate across functions to improve data quality, support evidence-based research, and identify opportunities to make healthcare delivery more effective.

  • Build and maintain healthcare analytics tools that help improve how health plan members access and use medical services and prescription medications.

  • Develop and enhance digital health tools that deliver clinical insights to physicians in real time at the point of care.

  • Collaborate with clinicians to design and conduct real-world evidence (RWE) studies using claims data representing more than 25 million lives.

  • Partner with technology teams to ingest, standardize, and manage medical and pharmacy claims data.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve ETL processes to support reliable data integration and analytics.

  • Analyze claim-line-level data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve medication use and care outcomes.

  • Work with analytics, clinical, and technology colleagues to identify and implement process automation and AI opportunities.

  • Translate complex healthcare data into clear, actionable findings that support informed decisions and continuous improvement.

  • Requirements:

You will bring substantial healthcare analytics experience, particularly in medical and pharmacy claims, along with strong technical skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach. You should be comfortable working with large and complex datasets, independently managing analytical projects, and adapting to changing priorities.

  • At least 5 years of experience as a healthcare data analyst within a health plan.

  • Deep understanding of medical and pharmacy claims data, including claim-line-level analysis.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, and/or comparable analytics and modeling tools.

  • Familiarity with Medi-Span or First Databank and healthcare coding systems such as HCPCS and CPT.

  • Experience working with large, complex databases and developing or supporting process automation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings that inform business and clinical decisions.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn as priorities, tools, and analytical needs evolve.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

  • Benefits:

  • Annual base salary: $90,000–$110,000, plus additional variable compensation. Final compensation depends on experience, market conditions, and business considerations.

  • Health insurance: 100% of employee medical, dental, and vision premiums covered.

  • Dependent coverage: 50% of dependent medical, dental, and vision premiums covered.

  • 401(k) match: 100% match on employee contributions up to 5% of salary, subject to IRS limits.
