  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) and SEC financial reporting requirements.

  • Experience with SOX Section 404 compliance at a publicly traded company, including the design, documentation, and testing of business process controls.

  • Strong technical accounting research skills, including the ability to interpret authoritative guidance, analyze complex transactions, and develop well-supported accounting conclusions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical accounting memoranda and explain complex matters to non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain high standards of accuracy, and deliver against fixed external reporting deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, initiative, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

  • Proficiency with accounting research tools such as Intelligize, Checkpoint, or FASB Accounting Standards Codification resources.

  • Experience with financial reporting platforms such as DFIN Active Disclosure or Workiva is preferred.

  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry is preferred.
