This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid-level DevOps Engineer based in Brazil.

We are looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to help build, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment systems in a remote engineering environment. In this role, you will contribute to the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of critical systems while enabling development teams to deliver software quickly and consistently. You will take ownership of AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools that support efficient engineering workflows. Working closely with software engineers, you will troubleshoot complex issues, strengthen monitoring practices, and implement infrastructure improvements. Security will be a central focus, with an emphasis on zero-trust principles and least-privilege access across critical resources. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, exploring new technologies, and delivering high-quality solutions while continuing to grow professionally.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and maintain core AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and resilience.

  • Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and tooling to help engineering teams deploy code quickly, reliably, and securely.

  • Provision and configure cloud resources based on capacity, computing, performance, and security requirements.

  • Monitor the health and performance of infrastructure and applications, continuously improving monitoring and alerting capabilities.

  • Diagnose, investigate, and resolve application and infrastructure issues efficiently to minimize disruption.

  • Apply security best practices across critical systems and resources, including zero-trust approaches and the principle of least privilege.

  • Collaborate with software development teams to plan and deliver DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure initiatives.

  • Evaluate existing systems, research alternative technologies, and implement improvements to internal DevOps processes.

  • Promote engineering standards that support reliability, operational efficiency, and secure software delivery.

  • Adapt to evolving technologies and contribute to technical solutions that meet high standards of quality and maintainability.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure engineering.

  • At least three years of hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure, including services such as EKS, RDS, S3, and related cloud technologies.

  • Professional experience with CI/CD tools, pipeline design, and continuous integration and delivery concepts.

  • Experience working within an engineering team and contributing to infrastructure reliability, deployment automation, and operational improvements.

  • A degree in a STEM-related field is preferred, although equivalent practical experience and demonstrated technical expertise are also valued.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure and application issues.

  • Understanding of cloud security practices, including access controls, zero-trust principles, and least-privilege implementation.

  • Ability to work across multiple technologies and learn unfamiliar tools and platforms quickly.

  • A proven track record of delivering measurable results and making meaningful contributions in previous roles.

  • A proactive, self-directed approach, with the persistence to overcome technical challenges and drive solutions through to completion.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high engineering standards.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with software developers and other technical stakeholders.

  • Must currently reside in Brazil, as this remote position is exclusively open to current Brazilian residents.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote work arrangement for eligible candidates currently residing in Brazil.

  • Opportunity to work on core cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and reliability engineering challenges.

  • Exposure to a range of technologies, with opportunities to develop broader engineering expertise.

  • A collaborative engineering environment that values technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovative problem-solving.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development within platform and infrastructure engineering.
