Job Description

Early Career Intern –  Institutional Sales (Retirement & Insurance) Overview

Ready to make your mark in the world of investments? Spend an unforgettable summer at Invesco alongside a select group of driven students. Our 9-week Summer Internship Program kicks off in June 2027 and offers you the chance to dive into the fast-paced world of investments, learn from industry pros, and build connections that will last a lifetime.

In this internship, you’ll get hands-on experience, one-on-one mentorship, and the inside scoop on what it’s really like to work at a global investment firm. As part of a Summer Internship Program cohort, you will have a variety of initiatives to keep you engaged throughout the summer including orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. You’ll work side-by-side with talented teams to learn about the business.

Here’s the best part: crush your internship, and you could be eligible for a full-time offer to join our Early Career Program after graduation!

What You’ll Do

  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs for internal business partners and, as appropriate, external clients.
  • Assist with client and prospect analysis using third-party reporting and investment research tools such as Fi360, BrightScope, Zephyr, and Morningstar.
  • Partner with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, and Investments to support timely marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Help coordinate the development, production, and distribution of tailored materials for clients, prospects, advisors, and consultants.
  • Support prospecting and relationship-development efforts in partnership with internal and external sales colleagues across multiple regions.
  • Complete administrative and data-quality tasks that improve business efficiency, including maintaining information in Salesforce CRM.
  • Assist with business plan development, activity tracking, and performance reporting for senior team members and strategic relationships.
  • Contribute to defined summer projects and North America Institutional initiatives focused on improving team reporting, communication, and overall effectiveness.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and networking opportunities to build knowledge of Invesco, capital markets, and the retirement industry.

What You Get

  • A Launchpad for Your Career – Get ready to build real skills and set yourself up for a future at Invesco (and beyond).
  • Your Own Mentor – You’ll be paired with a mentor who’s got your back, answers your questions, and helps you navigate your summer.
  • Intern Community – Join a crew of fellow interns to collaborate, share ideas, and get to know—both in and out of the office.
  • Pathway to Future Opportunities – Nail your internship, and you could be eligible for a full-time offer to join our Early Career Program after graduation!
  • Real Experience, Real Impact – Work on meaningful projects, learn from our team, and see what it’s like to work at a global investment firm.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
