To achieve transformative growth, we see clarity in complexity. We see the bigger picture. We cultivate and celebrate intelligence in all its forms. We are focused on attracting and developing the best minds in the business. It is coded in our DNA.
Powered by our next-generation network, PHD’s advanced thinking – Intelligence. Connected. – combines data, technology, and human-centric principles to drive measurable outcomes.
That’s how we transform experiences.
That’s how we move brands and businesses forward.
Summary of role
The Executive Director role is tasked with leading comms planning across the portfolio, acting as a trusted partner for the client - gaining and maintaining their trust and respect, based on strategic rigour and creativity in solving their marketing / branding problems.
You’ll be responsible for showcasing and advancing PHD’s strategic product through game-changing work that leads the industry, while providing vision and clear direction to PHD teams for implementation.
You’ll also play a lead role in the wider communications planning community, contributing to thought leadership, training, and all-round inspiration to help elevate the work across the agency.
A central part of the role will be the mastery and implementation of Omni Workflow across every campaign. Workflow is PHD’s proprietary campaign planning workspace nested within Omni, OMG’s leading marketing orchestration and insights platform. It unites every aspect of our business in one connected space and provides a platform where our people can collaborate in real-time and build campaigns for their clients – from research and audience building to channel selection and optimization.
The role is varied and creative and the successful candidate will be responsible for architecting the communications ‘blueprint’, working with our partner agencies, and justifying its delivery against client brand and business objectives.
Our expectations
As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for developing portfolio-wide strategies that set the direction for the planning and investment teams to successfully deliver business success for the respective brand teams. You would ensure the strategy is executed perfectly from inception to execution.
You would inspire the media planning team, clients and external teams with how media can be used creatively to bring ideas to life – seeing media as a lever for growth rather than a cost that needs to be reduced.
You would represent expertise in all media channels and working familiarity with all marketing disciplines.
You would manage solid client relationships and provide key strategic initiatives / thinking.
You would maintain a relationship with all teams working on the client’s business.
You would measure the effectiveness of the communications plan both internally (alignment) and externally (brand and business growth).
Overall, we’d look to you as an expert and persuasive voice capable of driving client businesses and the agency forward.
