Job Summary
Create,revise,andreviewpreliminary kitchen layouts (PKLs) in support of new store development and remodel initiatives across multiple brands for both company-owned and franchisee-developed projects. Will also review exterior elevations, and special projectsfortheArchitecture & Designdepartment. The position interacts primarily withArchitecture & Designleadership,construction managers,real estate managers,franchisees,outsideconsultants.
Responsibilities
- Create preliminary kitchenlayouts (PKLs)for traditional and non-traditional venues (in-lines, end caps, conversions, etc.)for multiple brands. 30%
- ReviewPKLs, PSLs and Exterior elevationssubmittedby outside consultants for multiple brands. 40%
- Manage and cultivate relationships with multipleinternal matrixed partnersand outsourced architects and consultants. 10%
- Accuraterecord keeping within Development tracking system.10%
- Prototype design development. 10%
Education Requirements
Minimum
- 2Year /AssociateDegreeRequired minimum–associate degree in architecture,interiordesign,orotherrelated field
Preferred
- 4year/Bachelor’s DegreePreferred –Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, orotherrelated field
Experience Qualifications
2+years of applied work experience in a related fieldpreferred
2+yearsproducingtechnicaldrawings ina relevant CAD
and SketchUp softwaresystems
2+years of experience in restaurant or retail architecture, construction, or store designpreferred
Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Strong technical AutoCADproficiencyto support production of development documents
Revitproficiencya plus
Ability to apply knowledge of architecture principles to achieve successful outcomes in store designs that ensure compliance with established brand standards
Capable of setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects in a multi-brand, fast-paced, and changing environments
Ability to successfullycreate or review PKLs, PSLs and Exterior Elevations for New Restaurants,remodelsandrefreshes.
Highly motivated and the ability to work as teamplayer
Abilityadapt and learn multiple brandstandards
Ability tointerfaceandmaintainexcellent professional relationships with a variety of audiencesincludingfranchise partners, internal construction and real-estateteams,outsourcedconsultants.
Restaurant or retail concept design development and execution
Proficient in reading and understanding architectural, structural, mechanical, and technical engineeringdocuments
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
PowerPoint/Word/Excel proficient
Workflow management software such as Lucernex/ProCorea plus
Travel Required
- Ability and willingness to travel up to5%
