What does the Metals, Mining and Fertilisers (“MMF”) Team do in ING?

MMF APAC is responsible for relationships and business development with Asian and Australian ING WB Clients who have metals and mining activities in countries from China, Mongolia, Indonesia and Australia. The MMF sector covers the following industries: copper mining & smelting, iron ore mining, bauxite mining (and associated aluminum smelting and refining), nickel mining and processing and gold mining and processing. With the global transition to an energy system based on renewables expected to lead to a sharp increase in demand for critical minerals, there is a growing focus on critical battery minerals such as lithium and nickel, across the mining, smelting and precursor segments.
