  • Establish reusable engineering patterns for agent development, testing, deployment, monitoring and support.
  • Support the controlled use of Microsoft 365 Copilot connectors and Power Platform connectors, including technical assessment, access control and lifecycle management.
  • Engineer and operate Pay-As-You-Go and other consumption-based platform capabilities, including billing policies, access groups, usage monitoring and cost controls.
  • Implement monitoring, evaluation and feedback mechanisms for AI services and agents, covering service health, usage, quality, failures, cost and operational risk.
  • Help ensure that AI solutions remain secure, observable, auditable and aligned with ING’s responsible-AI, data-protection and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply human oversight, least privilege and secure-by-design principles when AI is connected to workflows, enterprise data or business processes.

Power Platform and Connector Governance

  • Operate and improve Power Platform capabilities used for enterprise automation and AI integration.
  • Design and maintain environment strategies, Managed Environments, access models and application-lifecycle processes.
  • Implement Data Loss Prevention policies and connector controls that enable appropriate innovation while protecting enterprise data.
  • Assess standard, premium and custom connectors for security, authentication, authorization, data handling, supportability and operational ownership.
  • Support makers and engineering teams with approved patterns for developing, testing and promoting solutions through development, acceptance and production environments.
  • Automate environment provisioning, policy assignment, deployment and monitoring where appropriate.
  • Contribute to an operating model in which solutions have clear ownership, lifecycle management, support arrangements and production controls.

Automation and Straight-Through Processing

  • Design, develop and operate automation solutions for self-service requests, user and service provisioning, platform administration, reporting and operational controls.
  • Build straight-through processes that take requests from intake through validation, approval, implementation, evidence capture and completion with minimal manual intervention.
  • Develop reusable automation components, services, scripts and runbooks using technologies such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, Power Automate and Azure services.
  • Design and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for build, test, deployment and configuration-management activities.
  • Apply Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices to platform automation and agent solutions.
  • Integrate automation with systems such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Entra ID and other enterprise platforms.
  • Implement appropriate exception handling, logging, approvals, segregation of duties and rollback capabilities.
  • Develop desired-state monitoring and configuration-control capabilities to identify drift and improve platform stability.
  • Replace repetitive manual processes with secure, auditable and reusable automation wherever this delivers measurable value.
  • Produce operational reporting and telemetry that improve insight into service health, provisioning, usage, costs, risks and control effectiveness.

Messaging and Exchange Engineering

Experience with Exchange and Messaging technologies is a strong advantage for this position. Depending on your expertise, you may also:

  • Design, configure and operate Exchange Online and related Messaging capabilities.

  • Apply strong engineering practices, including secure coding, peer review, automated testing, configuration control, documentation, monitoring and structured problem management.
  • Ensure platform changes and automation are reproducible, traceable, auditable and supported by appropriate evidence.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to Microsoft 365, AI, automation, integrations, connectors and Messaging services.
  • Contribute to cyber-resilience, business-continuity, audit, privacy, sourcing and compliance activities.
  • Apply least-privilege, separation-of-duties and privileged-access principles to administrative and automated capabilities.
  • Develop dashboards, alerts and telemetry that make platform health, control effectiveness, consumption and operational risks visible.
  • Use incidents, service data and control findings to drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Technical Leadership

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Chapter Leads, IT Area Leads, architects, engineers, security, risk, compliance, legal, sourcing and support teams.
