Job Title

Head of Product Operations, EMEA

We are seeking a highly organised, process-driven leader to own the operating spine of the EMEA Financial Solutions product function. The Head of Product Operations EMEA will lead Enablement and Product Operations across the EMEA product line, helping the business deliver revenue faster in line with client needs and product strategy, while improving consistency, governance and evidence-based decision-making.

This role sits at the centre of two critical areas: client discovery and prioritisation coordination. You will define how we engage with clients to understand their needs while reinforcing platform adoption over customisation. You will also bring structure and visibility to regional demand, ensuring trade-offs are clear and prioritisation is aligned across product businesses and global product teams.

More broadly, this role will establish and lead the practices that keep the product organisation effective and accountable, including the Product Review Committee, pricing and contract standards, product roadmaps and lifecycle management, product catalogue governance, enablement practices, reporting and market intelligence. This is both a leadership and builder role, with responsibility for creating and scaling several processes that exist today as identified gaps.

What you will do

Client Discovery Practice

  • Own the client discovery method, standards, artefacts and cadence across EMEA
  • Work directly with clients and business teams on live discovery engagements
  • Reinforce the adopt-not-adapt approach, ensuring client outcomes are achieved without unnecessary platform customisation
  • Make discovery outputs reusable across clients and opportunities
  • Coordinate discovery across the region to support efficient onboarding and reduce bespoke approaches

Prioritisation and Regional Demand Coordination

  • Lead prioritisation coordination across the region, bringing visibility to requests, timelines, trade-offs and impacts
  • Coordinate triage for new product and change requests with product managers
  • Manage the interface with global product teams to distinguish between configuration, integration and core platform enhancements
  • Maintain a single, current regional demand view to support evidence-based decisions
  • Ensure stakeholders understand request status, dependencies and prioritisation criteria

Regional Product Review Committee

  • Chair the regional Product Review Committee and manage its agenda, cadence and preparation
  • Ensure proposals are complete, consistent and ready for decision-making
  • Facilitate discussions and ensure decisions, owners and next steps are clear
  • Track execution of decisions and maintain an accurate decision record
  • Apply commercial judgement to business cases, including assumptions, sizing and cost basis

Pricing and Contract Standards

  • Maintain list pricing across the EMEA product portfolio and ensure pricing consistency
  • Set the standards product managers use when pricing their products
  • Own contract consistency, including standard terms, escalation points and exception handling
  • Support deal reviews with the standards, templates and evidence needed by product and commercial teams
  • Partner with Legal, Finance and commercial teams to keep standards current

Product Roadmaps and Lifecycle

  • Set and assure standards for client-facing roadmaps across the portfolio
  • Maintain lifecycle views for each product, including introduction, growth, maturity and decline
  • Coordinate product consolidation, end-of-life decisions and client migration planning
  • Define how new ideas are proven before entering a roadmap, including proof-of-concept requirements and decision criteria

Product Enablement and Tooling

  • Lead enablement practices for the product function in partnership with the team and Marketing
  • Support sales and client enablement activities, including collateral, RFP responses and demos
  • Own product catalogue management to ensure offerings are accurate and centrally maintained
  • Operate self-service and trial routes to market alongside direct engagement models
  • Improve the quality and consistency of product artefacts and make standard processes easier to adopt
  • Own the tooling used by the product function, including product, portfolio, governance and reporting tools
  • Lead adoption of AI within the product function and coordinate AI opportunity identification within existing products
  • Partner with Technology and global product teams on frameworks for AI use in a regulated financial services environment

Reporting, KPIs, Dashboards and Market Intelligence

  • Own recurring leadership reporting on the health of the EMEA product line
  • Define and maintain regional product KPIs and their supporting methodology
  • Build dashboards and analyses that provide trusted, decision-ready insights
  • Own market and competitor intelligence for the region
  • Ensure visibility of capacity, pipeline, delivery progress and dependencies
  • Build both working-level dashboards and executive-level reporting views
  • Produce weekly reporting and leadership packs to board-ready standards
  • Synthesize customer and market insights with product and sales teams and support their use in sales collateral

Leading the Regional Operations Function

  • Lead the Enablement and Product Operations function across both established and currently unowned areas
  • Build the team, processes and operating practices from the ground up where needed
  • Act as a neutral, process-focused leader serving all product businesses
  • Partner closely with Technology, Strategy, Finance, Legal, Marketing and Operations
  • Champion transparency, accountability and client focus across the product function
  • Standardise objectives and key results across the product team, including P&L impact management and reporting

What you will need to have

  • Substantial experience in Product Operations, product governance, product portfolio operations or a similar central product organisation role
  • Direct experience with client-facing discovery and translating client needs into product requirements
  • Proven experience leading prioritisation and demand management across competing stakeholders
  • Experience running or supporting senior-level decision forums, including agenda management, quality control, decision tracking and follow-through
  • Working knowledge of pricing and commercial standards in a product environment
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and modern product development practices
  • Excellent organisational, facilitation and written communication skills
  • Data-driven mindset with experience producing concise, actionable leadership reporting
  • Experience with product, portfolio and AI tooling
  • Ability to build processes directly and then scale them effectively through a team
  • Experience setting standards for client-facing roadmaps across a portfolio
  • Experience leading product consolidation and end-of-life planning
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to challenge assumptions, sizing and cost basis in business cases
  • Experience standardising objectives and key results across product teams, including P&L impact reporting
  • Experience selecting, implementing or rationalising tooling used by a product function

Nice to have

  • Experience in card issuing, payments, core banking or another regulated financial services environment
  • Experience working across global platforms and regional market structures
  • Experience with platform migration or modernisation programmes
  • Background in process improvement methodology

Personal attributes

  • Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented
  • Strong facilitator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Process-driven but pragmatic
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from a blank sheet
  • Client-focused and outcome-oriented
  • Passionate about creating clarity, consistency and alignment
