About Engramme
Engramme is an AI research lab building Large Memory Models (LMMs) to give people perfect, infinite memory.
Founded by Gabriel Kreiman, a former Harvard professor, and Spandan Madan, Engramme is a small, ambitious team in San Francisco working on one of the most fundamental challenges in AI: memory.
About the Role
We're looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial individual to help us recruit participants for our AI research studies.
Our research depends on real people using and evaluating our AI memory system. We need participants from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and professions to help us understand how our technology performs in everyday life.
Your mission is simple: find, recruit, and onboard as many qualified research participants as possible.
This is a hands-on outreach role. You'll engage with people directly, explain our research opportunities, and help them get started. You'll also experiment with different recruiting channels and approaches to identify what works best.
We're open to both part-time and full-time arrangements.
What You'll Do
Identify and recruit participants for our AI research studies across a variety of demographics, professions, and communities.
Conduct outreach through in-person conversations, community organizations, events, digital channels, and other creative methods.
Explain Engramme's research program, participation requirements, and compensation opportunities to prospective participants.
Help interested participants understand eligibility requirements and successfully complete onboarding.
Experiment with new participant acquisition channels and improve existing outreach approaches.
Track recruitment activity, participant activation, and recruitment effectiveness.
Work closely with our team to develop repeatable processes that can scale.
What We're Looking For
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Outgoing, proactive, and comfortable approaching and speaking with new people.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and willing to experiment with different outreach approaches.
Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through with prospective participants.
Comfortable working independently and being measured against clear outcomes.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and willing to conduct in-person outreach.
Experience in sales, community outreach, field marketing, customer acquisition, or similar roles is a plus, but not required.
No AI or technical research experience is necessary. We care much more about initiative, communication skills, and the ability to get things done.
Why Join Us?
Work with a cutting-edge AI research lab tackling one of the biggest challenges in artificial intelligence.
Take ownership of an important initiative with a direct impact on our research progress.
Enjoy flexibility in how you approach recruitment and experiment with new ideas.
Opportunity to expand your responsibilities as the program grows.
