Like all Dudekians, you are curious and solution-oriented, with the ability to adapt quickly to changes and approach challenges with a spirit of innovation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Dudek is looking for a Business Operations Manager (HRIS) to provide leadership and strategic oversight for Dudek’s HR technology ecosystem, with primary responsibility for Dayforce HCM and the systems, data, integrations, and processes that support the employee lifecycle. This role will ensure HR technology is reliable, secure, well governed, scalable, and aligned with Dudek’s evolving business and workforce needs.

Working closely with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and other key stakeholders, the Business Operations Manager (HRIS) will serve as a critical connector between business processes and technology. The role will lead HRIS strategy and optimization, data and integration governance, system implementations and enhancements, and cross functional initiatives involving interconnected HR, ERP, financial, and enterprise systems.

The Business Operations Manager (HRIS) will also lead the HRIS team and support model, establish strong system governance and controls, and help Dudek maximize the value of its HR technology investments while supporting an effective employee and manager experience.

Candidates must be available to work during Pacific Time business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the administration, configuration, optimization, and ongoing evolution of Dayforce HCM and Dudek’s broader HR technology ecosystem.
  • Develops and maintains an HRIS roadmap aligned with HR priorities, enterprise technology initiatives, business growth, and evolving operational needs.
  • Evaluates opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve HR processes through technology while balancing business requirements, user experience, system capabilities, risk, and long-term scalability.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of HR technology trends, platform capabilities, and vendor roadmaps and recommends opportunities to improve Dudek’s HR technology environment.
  • Establishes standards and governance for HR system configuration, enhancements, testing, releases, documentation, and change management.

Enterprise Systems & Integration Leadership

  • Serves as the HRIS functional lead for major enterprise technology transformations, representing HR systems, employee data, integrations, controls, and workforce process requirements in cross-functional design and implementation decisions.
  • Serves as a key HRIS partner in the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of integrations between Dayforce, Deltek Vantagepoint, iCIMS, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Partners closely with Finance and other business leaders on ERP initiatives involving employee, organizational, labor, payroll, time, project, or other shared data and processes.
  • Collaborates with IT, Information Security, system owners, vendors, and implementation partners to establish effective integration architecture, data flows, system dependencies, controls, and support models.

  • Identifies and resolves complex cross-system issues, including determining root cause, coordinating stakeholders, and driving solutions through completion.
  • Assesses downstream impacts of system and process changes to help ensure changes made in one platform do not adversely affect interconnected systems or business processes.

Data Governance, Security & Controls

  • Oversees the integrity, consistency, and appropriate use of HR and employee data across HR systems and system integrations.
  • Establishes and maintains HRIS data governance practices, including data ownership, definitions, validation, reconciliation, and documentation, in alignment with the governance and control standards established by IT.
  • Administers HR system access, role-based security, and data protection practices in accordance with the security standards and controls established by IT and Information Security.
  • Partners with IT and Information Security to support audits, access reviews, compliance activities, and other control requirements related to HR systems and employee data.
  • Maintains documentation of system configurations, integrations, data flows, procedures, control activities, and key system decisions.
  • Monitors system and integration performance and proactively addresses risks that could affect data integrity, payroll, financial reporting, employee processes, or business operations.

  • Leads the HR Service Family workspace design and adoption.
  • Partners with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate business and process needs into sustainable system solutions.
  • Establishes processes for identifying recurring issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing longer-term solutions rather than relying on manual workarounds.
  • Develops and maintains HRIS documentation, procedures, knowledge resources, and training materials that support users and promote consistent system practices.

Projects, Optimization & Change

  • Leads and participates in complex HRIS and cross-functional technology projects from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, implementation, stabilization, and ongoing support.
