At the heart of DP Electric’s success is its dedication to cultivating industry-leading talent. Through our in-house training program, DP University, we equip employees with advanced skills and expertise to meet the ever-changing demands of modern construction. By combining technical excellence with a client-first approach, we continue to set the standard for electrical contracting in the Southwest.
The Opportunity
The General Foreman leads the foremen, journeymen, and apprentices who put the work in place. You will set the standard for safety and quality in the field, and make the daily calls on manpower, materials, and sequence that keep projects on schedule and on budget.
The job takes different shapes depending on the project. On our large mission-critical builds, including data centers, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, and healthcare, you may lead a large area with multiple crews and scopes running at once, directing the foremen who run them. On our special projects, you may run an entire job start to finish or carry several at once, mobilizing fast and coordinating directly with the client.
What You'll Do
Lead the Field Team
- Lead and manage field crews, including apprentices, journeymen, and foremen, so the work meets our quality and safety standards.
- Mentor and train field employees, supporting technical growth and preparing the next tier of field leadership.
- Resolve conflicts and address jobsite issues to keep crews productive and the work environment positive.
Run the Work
- Oversee daily project operations and hold the work to schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and schedule electrical installations from layout through final inspection.
- Allocate manpower, tools, and equipment to keep production strong across the work you oversee.
- Apply industry best practices and company standards so projects finish efficiently and correctly the first time.
Coordinate and Communicate
- Report project progress, risks, and needs to project managers, superintendents, and leadership.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, other trades, and clients to keep execution seamless.
- Participate in project planning meetings and bring field insight to sequencing and constructability decisions.
- Build and maintain the client relationships that lead to repeat business.

Work Environment
This is a field-based role performed on active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather and jobsite conditions. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, working at heights, and working in confined spaces, and requires wearing personal protective equipment. Expect a fast-paced environment that calls for focus and sound judgment under pressure.
