DV's Commercial team is adding a Sales Development Representative to grow our share of the media budgets that matter most: the world's largest advertisers and the agencies that buy on their behalf. Sitting between Sales and Marketing, you'll generate qualified meetings and introduction opportunities for our Growth and Ignition (G&I) Mid-Market, New Business, and Performance teams.

Day to day, you'll work alongside Client Partners and Enterprise Sales Directors to map buying centers inside holding company agencies, independent agencies and brand-direct advertisers. From there, you'll open conversations about how DV's Media Effectiveness Platform helps them verify media quality, optimize performance and prove outcomes. You'll also own smaller services deals from first call to signed contract, so you'll close revenue, not only source it.

You have one to three years in a pipeline-generating or quota-carrying seat and want to move closer to the deal. Cold calls don't slow you down, you research before you reach out and you keep every conversation moving until it lands with the right seller. You're curious about how brands buy media and where brand suitability, fraud protection, attention and AI-driven optimization fit into that decision.

Success in this seat is measured by pipeline that converts: meetings that become opportunities, and opportunities that expand DV's presence within the accounts that set the direction of digital advertising. The role is designed as a path into a closing seat on the Commercial team.

This role is based at our NYC Global HQ, with an in-office requirement of at least [3] days per week.

What You'll Do

  • Source Pipeline for Three Sales Teams: Run outbound sequences by phone, email, LinkedIn and in person to generate qualified meetings and introduction opportunities for G&I Mid-Market, New Business, Performance and Strategic Accounts sellers.
  • Grow Within Current Clients: Reach stakeholders beyond our existing point of contact at holding company, independent agency and brand-direct accounts, opening new business units and buying centers for DV.
  • Map the Account Before the First Call: Research priority accounts to learn who owns media decisions, who influences them and which parts of the DV platform the client isn't using yet.
  • Work Hand in Hand with Client Partners and ESDs: Align on target lists, tailor outreach to each account's media mix and priorities, and flag upsell and cross-sell openings for the account team.
  • Convert Marketing Demand: Respond quickly to inbound leads from campaigns, webinars and events. Qualify each one and route strategic opportunities to the right Enterprise Sales Director.
  • Run Discovery Calls: Lead first conversations that confirm need, budget owner and timing before you hand off or move to close.
  • Close Smaller Services Deals: Take services opportunities from qualification through signature on your own.
  • Keep Salesforce Accurate and Report Results: Log activity, qualification notes and opportunity stages in Salesforce, and share conversion and funnel results with Sales leadership each week.
  • Put AI to Work in Your Prospecting: Use DV's sales and AI tools for account research and personalized outreach, and share what works with the wider sales development team.

Who You Are

  • One to three years of experience in B2B sales, business development or lead generation, ideally in digital media, adtech or SaaS
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline, qualification or quota targets
  • Comfort with high-volume outbound, including cold calling, email prospecting and social selling
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or a comparable CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and sales engagement tools, plus hands-on use of AI tools for research and personalization
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain how DV helps media and marketing buyers protect and improve their investment
  • A process-oriented, data-driven approach to prospecting and account planning
  • A team-first mindset and the ambition to grow into a closing role at DV
  • Based in or willing to work from New York, NY

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $69,000 to $101,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.

Not-so-fun fact: Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of job criteria, women and other marginalized groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes but you’re not sure that you check every box, apply anyway!
