Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time Boiler Combustion Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial Boiler equipment. Location: Washington DC, Baltimore areas

What you will do:

• Perform maintenance of commercial boilers and associated equipment including logging operations, adjusting combustion, annual service, rebuilding equipment, cleaning heat exchangers and proper lubrication
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to boilers, burners, combustion control systems, DA an surge tanks, pumps, valves, and actuators
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks
• Analyze boiler and combustion trend data to ensure optimal performance
• Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of equipment and components
• Lead the rebuild and retrofit of commercial and industrial boiler, burner, and combustion controls systems. Direct technician Levels I and II through hands-on demonstration of the necessary steps and procedures
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner
• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call. Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and factory training. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures
• Potential travel requirements with some overnight travel

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree or technical school HVAC certification (preferred)
• 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
• Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred)
• Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $37.90 - $ 60.46. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
