As part of Magna International, Magna Energy Storage Systems Group develops and manufactures innovative fuel tank systems and components for heavy-duty trucks and passenger cars, specializing in plug-in hybrids. • Assists HR Manager with managing and coordinates all HSE procedures and processes and ensures compliance for the plant.

• Assists HR Manager with overseeing Division safety policies.
• Assists HR Manager with ensuring Division meets regulatory and Magna safety and environmental requirements.
• Assists HR Manager with achievement of department KPIs
• Leads Joint Health & Safety Committee.

• Coordinates and ensures compliance with all training required of the plant.

• Ensures a yearly training plan is developed which provides tracking of all required training in accordance with regulatory and Magna requirements.

• Manages training matrices for departments including but not limited to ensuring training matrices and training documentation are maintained to reflect current trainings progress
• Plans and executes job rotations and cross training in close cooperation with team leads and management
• Prepare and report training status to supervisors and management

• Ensure records are kept and maintained in accordance with the Division record retention matrix.
• Performs HR, HSE and training administrative functions as regulations, policies and procedures dictate and in a timely manner.
• Performs general administrative duties for the plant.

Job Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree and at least one year of related experience or 2-3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience

·         Basic Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies and procedures

·         Basic Knowledge of manufacturing safety requirements, policy and procedures

·         Basic Knowledge of OSHA regulations, certification of OSHA 10 hour preferred

·         Basic Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 preferred

·         Experience managing training compliance in a manufacturing environment

·         Competent in Microsoft Office

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time

·         Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines

·  Ability to work with employees of all levels

·  Ability to support a 3 shift manufacturing facility
