Position Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineering to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI and machine learning, with expertise in various areas of natural language processing and computer vision.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the fine-tuning of open-source Large Language Models
- Design and implement advanced text processing and computer vision algorithms
- Develop and optimize inference engines for efficient model deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into our products
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies
- Implement and maintain best practices for data processing and model development
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies throughout the development process
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Communicate findings and insights through data visualizations and reports
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning technologies
Workplace: This is a remote position for candidates based in Colombia or Argentina only
Must Have Skills:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Extensive experience in machine learning, with a focus on natural language processing and computer vision
- Proven track record of leading ML engineering teams and projects
- Strong proficiency in Python and related ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience with fine-tuning and deploying large language models
- Expertise in developing and optimizing inference engines
- Solid understanding of data processing techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of deep learning techniques and frameworks
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
