Air Hammer Operator
Pay: $23.50 per hour
Job description:
C. K. Masonry Construction Company, LLC maintains several contracts with municipalities and leading paving contractors in Middle Tennessee to adjust manhole and valve box castings on city streets to proper elevation for paving. Critical to the success of this service is the effective operation of air hammers to loosen the asphalt directly adjacent to the structures.
The Air Hammer Operator position includes the following qualifications, responsibilities, and benefits:
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must possess a valid Tennessee driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
The successful candidate must adhere to Company and OSHA safety practices.
The successful candidate must be able to operate a 94 pound air hammer with asphalt bit attachment and place asphalt around excavations periodically through the course of a shift.
Other activities include lifting/moving heavy cast iron, shoveling, and raking periodically through the course of a shift.
Periodic work on Saturdays.
Some overnight travel (approx. 3 weeks/year).
Some night work (approx. 3 weeks/year).
