Job Description:

ASI Government is seeking two senior Requirements Subject Matter Experts to support a high-visibility U.S. Space Force (USSF) mission at the Pentagon focused on weapon-system infrastructure and basing. This is current, mission-critical work: the infrastructure and basing decisions made in this role directly affect how quickly and reliably the Space Force can field, sustain, and operate the systems the warfighter depends on. You will work where programs meet installations, turning mission needs and system architectures into the facility, site, and basing requirements needed to bed down new capabilities. That includes site activation and integration for space ground systems, strategic basing actions, range and launch infrastructure planning, and facility requirements documentation, including MILCON. You will also help shape how those infrastructure requirements are prioritized and funded, partnering with senior stakeholders across headquarters, program offices, operational commands, and installation and base operating support providers, including Base Operating Support-Integrator (BOS-I) organizations. Ideal candidates bring space-domain credibility, hands-on experience fielding systems at the installation level, and the judgment to turn ambiguous, high-stakes problems into traceable, actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead site activation and installation integration planning for new space system beddowns, coordinating facility, power, communications, security, and mission support requirements with installation, civil engineering, and BOS-I stakeholders.
• Develop, prioritize, and document facility and construction requirements tied to program fielding, and support the path to funding, including MILCON
• Support Air Force and Space Force strategic basing actions and range or launch infrastructure planning, from site evaluation through basing decision.
• Lead the development, validation, prioritization, and traceability of weapon-system infrastructure and basing requirements.
• Translate mission concepts, system architectures, readiness needs, and sustainment dependencies into actionable infrastructure requirements.
• Assess infrastructure gaps, inform basing decisions, and guide cross-functional teams through complex actions from definition to resolution.
• Facilitate senior-level working sessions and deliver clear, decision-ready products while strengthening repeatable requirements processes.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree and eight or more years of relevant Federal Government or Department of War experience in requirements development, capability development, infrastructure planning, basing, or related mission support.
• Direct USSF, Air Force space, or national security space experience with weapon or defense systems and their associated ground and infrastructure dependencies.
• Expertise in one or more Space Force mission areas: missile warning, tracking, and missile defense; space domain awareness; military and protected satellite communications; GPS/PNT; space control or electromagnetic warfare; launch and range operations; or satellite command and control and ground segments.
• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following:
  • site activation or site integration for a space ground system;
  • installation integration for a new system beddown;
  • facility requirements tied to a program;
  • participation in Air Force or Space Force strategic basing actions;
  • or range or launch infrastructure planning.
• Experience working directly with installation, civil engineering, or base operating support organizations to define, prioritize, and resolve infrastructure requirements for a new or changing mission.
• Working knowledge of installation mission support functions (e.g., civil engineering, security forces, communications, logistics readiness) and how they enable a system at a host installation.
• Ability to translate operational concepts, mission threads, system interfaces, and threat-informed needs into prioritized, traceable requirements.
• Strong executive communication and facilitation skills across headquarters, program, operational, installation, and industry stakeholders.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred:

• Current or prior Special Access Program (SAP) experience and program qualification, access, or indoctrination.
• Experience supporting HQ USSF, Space Systems Command, a Field Command, a space program office, a Space Base Delta or installation supporting system beddown, or comparable enterprise requirements work.
• Experience developing facility requirements and MILCON project documentation (e.g., DD Form 1391) or supporting facility requirements through the programming and funding process.
• Experience serving on or supporting a Site Activation Task Force (SATAF) or similar beddown planning team.
• Experience working with BOS-I or base operating support organizations, such as a Space Base Delta, mission support group, or civil engineering squadron.
