Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in Agile Methodology to join our growing Huntsville, Alabama work program. The selected candidate will guide product strategy, feature prioritization, and Agile delivery for a major federal modernization and data migration program. This role leads backlog development, aligns mission and technical needs, and ensures products and features are ready for release across cloud, data, application, and migration workstreams. The Business Analyst partners closely with engineering, Scrum, QA, cloud, migration, and stakeholder teams to deliver high-quality capabilities that support mission critical outcomes.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Own, develop, and prioritize the product backlog based on mission needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and program priorities.
- Translate requirements into clear user stories, features, and acceptance criteria aligned with modernization, cloud, data, and migration initiatives.
- Manage product roadmaps, dependencies, feature sequencing, and release priorities.
- Collaborate with government customers, mission owners, Product Leads, Scrum Masters, engineering, QA, cloud, and data teams to define requirements and delivery expectations.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, technical reviews, PI planning, demos, and cross-team coordination.
- Monitor product progress, sprint performance, risks, dependencies, and delivery metrics while providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Validate feature completeness, acceptance criteria, testing coverage, defect resolution, user experience, and release readiness.
- Support secure, reliable delivery by ensuring solutions align with federal security, performance, compliance, and program governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain product and technical documentation, including user stories, feature definitions, roadmaps, design documents, API specifications, data flows, and release artifacts.
- Support troubleshooting, performance improvements, automated testing, major deployments, and knowledge sharing across cross-functional teams.
This position requires active Top Secret (TS) clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a CI polygraph.
This position is on-site with our customer in Huntsville, Alabama, and cannot be supported remotely.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in product ownership, Agile delivery, technical program support, or a related field.
- Experience leading Agile teams, managing product backlogs, and delivering technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud, data, application development, and modernization initiatives.
- Ability to translate technical and mission requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be able to work full-time on-site at our customer location in Huntsville, Alabama.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting national security programs.
- SAFe PO/PM, CSPO, or similar Agile certification.
- Experience with cloud modernization, enterprise systems, large-scale data migrations, DevSecOps, CI/CD, or microservices
