Diesel/Reefer Technician– Buffalo, NY
Day Shift | $40.00 - $50.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days | Potential Bonus, up to $5,500
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the nation’s premier fleet maintenance providers, is hiring an experienced Diesel Technician (Reefer Experience is a PLUS!) in Buffalo, NY.
*We are offering Thermo King and Carrier Training and EPA 608 Certification*

Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour (based on experience)Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every FridaySchedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, repair, and maintain Diesel Engine
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and A/C service
Repair refrigeration diesel engines on trailer units
Conduct safety inspections and complete required documentation
Perform DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are fully operational
Access and inspect undercarriages and mechanical components
Remove and install parts as needed
Maintain accurate service records (computer & manual entry)
Communicate with clients via phone and email
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
What You Must Have
Willingness to learn to maintain Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
EPA 608 Certification (will allow time to obtain)
Experience with PMs and A/C systems
Valid Driver’s License
Own hand tools and toolbox
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems, email)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working Environment
Exposure to heavy traffic areas
Dust, diesel fumes, noise
Oils, chemicals, and shop materials
Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting heavy objects
Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
