The Opportunity
At Allegro MicroSystems, we are committed to "Innovation with Purpose," creating advanced sensing and power solutions that lead the world toward a safer, more sustainable, and autonomous future. Rigorous characterization and validation testing are essential to delivering the highest quality products to our global automotive and industrial customers. As the Senior Supervisor, Test & Validation, you will provide operational leadership and technical mentorship to an engineering and technician team. This role offers high visibility, empowering you to translate complex product validation requirements into actionable laboratory execution, ensure impeccable data integrity, and build a high-performing engineering culture.
What You Will Do
- Operational Leadership & Execution: Manage daily lab operations for the test and validation group, setting clear operational priorities for device characterization, electrical validation, and test plan execution.
- Team Development & People Management: Lead the full employee lifecycle for direct reports (engineers and technicians), including recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, performance appraisals, technical coaching, and professional development.
- Data Integrity & Quality Standards: Enforce rigorous laboratory best practices, data collection protocols, and standardized test methodologies to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable feedback to IC design and product teams.
- Technical Escalation & Resolution: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex test anomalies, bench instrumentation faults, or setup failures, providing hands-on troubleshooting guidance.
- Capacity & Lab Resource Planning: Coordinate bench resources, equipment availability, and workload scheduling to align with project milestones and customer delivery commitments.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Supervisory Experience: 3+ years of progressive senior supervisory experience leading technical teams, or an advanced degree with 1+ years of leadership experience.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid working understanding of semiconductor validation flows, bench test methodologies, characterization instrumentation, and laboratory management.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and technically coach a team of engineering and technician professionals in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication & Organization: Strong organizational, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively with design, product, and quality engineering teams.
