We are seeking a skilled 2nd Tier Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of IPRAN and Transport Network infrastructure serving mobile, fixed broadband, and enterprise services. The role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, fault analysis, network performance management, and service implementation to ensure network reliability and service quality. The successful candidate will also contribute to network automation and software development initiatives, driving operational efficiency and supporting the organization's autonomous network transformation strategy.Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a 2nd Tier Engineer for IP RAN and Transport Networks, providing advanced technical support, fault analysis, and issue resolution for mobile, fixed broadband, and enterprise services.
- Operate and support IP RAN and Transport Networks through network configuration, service provisioning, and implementation activities to ensure service readiness and reliability.
- Perform network performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and complex troubleshooting to maintain network stability and service quality.
- Manage and support transport network and grooming switch operations across nationwide network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, field operations, and vendors to resolve network incidents and implement service improvements.
- Design, develop, and implement automation tools and software solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual activities.
- Support autonomous network initiatives through process automation, analytics, and continuous improvement of network operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IP RAN, Transport Network Operations, or related telecommunications networks.
- Strong knowledge of IP Networking, IP RAN, Transport Networks, Routing & Switching, and network operations.
- Understanding of network troubleshooting, performance management, and service assurance processes.
- Experience or knowledge of programming and automation tools such as Python, Shell Script, SQL, Linux, and API integration.
- Familiarity with network management, monitoring, and data analytics tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external vendors.
